Navy Info?
We will be leaving for our trip to Navy on Thursday (yes I know the game isn't till next week) and need a little info from anyone that's made this trip in the last few years...

parking: what's the best place to park? Is it better to park and take the shuttle or getting a parking pass if possible if you are just going to the game? If you do get a parking pass is it anything like a game @Army where you will need to get there 1.5 to 2 hours early because of the lines?

Getting into the grounds: are there shuttles that takes you from the grounds to the stadium? Looking at it on Google Maps it looks like a 1.2 mile walk.

If you are going to see the grounds how much time should you allot to do this?

Guns, we went to the game the last time there. We parked in the lot right next to the stadium. I can't remember what it cost, but it wasn't close to being full. Ran into several other Topper fans (mostly player's families) and met several Navy fans. We had a fantastic time! We were there several hours early (I enjoy my tailgaiting 04-cheers) but didn't really go explore the campus. The march of the midshipmen is worth the price of admission!! The only "negative" was when a "cadet" grabbed Big Red's head and tried to get away with it. I and several other chased after the turd 05-mafia, who finally dropped the head and took off! 04-rock

The campus is beautiful, but the stadium is a couple miles from campus. Give yourself a good 2 hours to look at it.

Just got off the phone with their ticket office and things have changed since 2009. NO parking passes for this game everyone has sold out....for the season. But there's parking just a couple blocks from the stadium with a shuttle.

At Army last year your parking pass got you a spot about 2 miles from the stadium. So this still should be closer.

Are you going to be able to make this trip?

A ton of Marshall fans were up there including myself for the bowl game vs MARYLAND. However that was obviously different circumstances than a Navy home game.

We stayed at the Westin for the bowl game last year. You can walk to the stadium from there and they run a shuttle to downtown. Thought it was a great place to stay. Annapolis is a blast.
