Semi-OT: ULL Twitter Fail
A ULM alum sent me this today. The boys and girls down in Lafayette can't seem to get anything right this season. Notice the hyperlink

I'm pretty sure what LT did to them is considered porn in most states.

Must have been an exciting lunch. I wonder what they ate.

RE: Semi-OT: ULL Twitter Fail
Maybe it's just me but most schools in states where there is a p5 school, the smaller schools are obsessed with them, yet I don't think I have ever seen LSU mentioned by a LT fan. However ULL has a topic at least weekly it seems like. ECU wants to be better than UNC, we want to be better than WVU, So. Miss Wants to be better than Ole Miss, etc. But LT loves talking about how much better they are than ULL. Yes you are, you are in a bigger conference, people have heard of you, you don't have to ask people to call you a different name because they know who you are, and you just kicked their ass. Now instead of trying to be better than ULL try to be better than LSU even though the powers that be will never let it happen. And quit pounding your chest or even caring about what they do because they are beneath you. Strive for greatness not mediocrity.
I think this comes of a little preachy and I'm sorry for that, I just think you are above them and shouldn't waste so much time or energy caring what they do, even if it is hilarious.

Louisiana Tech does not want to 'talk' about beating LSU. We want to beat LSU, and then we'll talk about it.
Trust me, nobody in the state wants to beat them more than we do.

After hearing nothing in the offseason but how much ULL was going to beat Tech by, two weeks is not quite long enough to get ULL out of our system. Especially with some of the softballs that are still floating around just begging to get smacked into next week.
In Louisiana, most casual fans of schools other than LSU are also closet LSU fans. A much larger percentage of casual Louisiana Tech fans are not LSU fans at all.
Tech and LSU won't be meeting on the gridiron anytime soon after what happened in 2009 in Baton Rouge...Tech led at halftime and only lost 24-16. That was way too close for LSU's comfort.

Tech does enjoy being about 3.5 times further from Baton Rouge.
Pretty sure they both call LSU fans corndogs or something like that.

RE: Semi-OT: ULL Twitter Fail
I hate when people invite UL-L to our board like this. But it is nice to have them not show up for once. I was over UL-L after the UNT game. I'm glad everyone knows what they are now. We've got our first home game this weekend. Big recruiting weekend. Then on to Auburn. As for LSU, that's a steep challenge..especially in this state. We just need to keep improving and the next time they fall on pre-Saban times, we'll be in better shape. We beat Alabama in back to back years, one of which they were SEC champs and we couldn't get a bowl bid. That won't happen next time.

It doesn't matter. Up here people go to LSU Shreveport...a NAIA school...and advertise themselves as "LSU graduates". Until we get the LSU name off of LSU-S, we only have 45mins of separation from LSU.
