Out of doghouse and back into the fold (football)
No disrespect to Hayes, Dorceus, Cooper or Wallace but there is one who has yet to make his debut. He has been out due to injuries and disciplinary problems but has gladly accepted his punishment like a man and fulfilled his responsibilities as Coach Fuentes requested. I frankly have been waiting for him to show what he can do.

Ladies and gentlemen without further ado.

ROBERT DAVIS

He's on his way because he's been waiting on his moment.

He's super fast, has great vision, and his balance looks incredible. I can't wait to see what he does also. Coach Fuente has a great mix of different types of offensive players to constantly keep our opponents guessing. UCLA has an ex PRO coach who said it's hard to game plan for us. Adding a piece like Davis will only make it harder.

GO TIGERS!!!

Just a couple of years ago we had many "(insert name) has left the team" threads. We had very few seniors because so many of them left along the way.

Now we've got stories of players-good players-coming back to the team.

Good sign.

Thrilled to watch what Robert and Jarvis will do in the future. That is a power and speed combination that can do some serious damage!!!

Really looking forward to Saturday!!

I'd slow my roll until I know if the kid is going to play or not.
There was a kid who ran for 100 yards against Austin Peay who either didn't see much action....or didn't play at all at UCLA.

The "kid" is Jarvis Cooper, a true frosh still very much learning the system. He didn't play until well into the 4th, but 100+ yards on the limited carries he has shows potential.

Like I said, I can't wait to see what will happen. They have POTENTIAL to be an impressive duo in our backfield. Not proclaiming them to be the best ever or anything like that, but one does remind me Xavier Crawford in his prime the other of DeAngelo... 04-jawdrop 03-cloud9

And my looking forward to Saturday comment is regardless of if either of them play or not. I am just looking forward to Saturday!!!

Ditto that part.
I don't want to start salivating over a kid until I know if he will be able to play or not. Based on what I've seen he SHOULD be playing...if not for that suspension bit he just went though.

A couple of weeks ago I was wondering where he went. So I googled his name. All I could find is his twitter account and half year old news articles. But after looking at his Twitter account, he appeared as a diehard Memphis fan that keeps up with his teammates. I took that as a good sign we might see him again.

The talent is there. No question about that in my mind.

I am pretty impressed with Cooper. He came in to ice the game against AP and put in some solid work other than the fumble. I thought CJF was experimenting a bit with a big back that he might be able to depend on in games where we have the lead. Run to win, pass to score.

We played from behind all night at UCLA so Cooper wasn't going to have much of a chance.

Is Warford the young speedster (RB) that kept mistaking fatback for stick-um last year?

Have been wondering when we would see Davis on the field. If he gets in it will give MTSU another headache. Always thought he would be one of our top 3 in rotation and maybe even top of the list.
