RE: Game Day Questions
Definitely recommend coming down to watch the Walk deal, and then just cruise around Godwin field and P-lot. I always take a stroll around. A warning though. You may find it difficult to get too far without someone handing you any range of fantastic grilled treats(we really do have some master tailgate chefs out there) and many a frosty beverage. I have gotten to know so many of the folks on this board, many former players, etc just from walking and talking to folks. And if you see Schickman walking around(I am sure he will be), yell out "No Flags!". He has earned it:-)

RE: Game Day Questions
Based on last year, they close the Upper Convo at kickoff because it is all students.. Didn't see any cops prowling Godwin to get people to stop hanging out after kickoff..

As stated before, that upper CONVO is definitely one big party for the young folk. I'm not sure they know a football game takes place.

I am not sure how Godwin Field works. I assume the parking there is reserved. My tailgating approach is pretty simple. Munchies and a few adult beverages in ice cold cans. After getting settled and relaxing a bit, we will head over to Godwin. Hopefully, they are not “NFL Strict” on what you can bring into the Stadium.

Hart Foundation – The Duke Walk sounds like a terrific tradition. We will try to see that.

Jmuroadwarrior – I need to figure out where to purchase my Son’s numbered jersey!

Lingerba – Thanks for the links. We have a 3 hour trip and are planning to arrive around 10. We plan to try one of the general parking lots near Hillside or at the Port Republic spot you mentioned.

CaryNCDuke – Absolutely will be in Charlotte. Going to every game!

Thanks again to everyone for all of the support! Go Dukes!

Well, if you root for the Dukes and the Pack you're more than welcome at my tailgate. I'm in space 222 in P lot.

RE: Game Day Questions
Game day at JMU is great. I only get to come to one or two games a year and it never disappoints. I am at the age where a ton of my friends have kids who are now JMU students, and to see them get together before the games is the best. The setting is beautiful and I love the stadium. I enjoyed the victory, the band and their guests and the excellent weather that came.

The band day thing they did at halftime was pretty cool, with all the different band uniforms.

Still trying to figure out the math. They said the MRDs are around 450, and there were around 450 HS band kids, but they announced that somehow there were over 1000 playing together.

But it was cool and a great recruiting tool.

Their goal was 500 high school kids which would bring it to 950 and everybody knows 950 is the same as 1000. Come on....its the new math. Sort of like bidding less than $50k for a playoff game and trying to convince everyone you gave a more than acceptable bid to win.

We won! It was a great day. Parked in R1. Arrived early but the rain slowed things down a little. Had a few cold ones. Met some nice people. Headed over to the P Lot. Stopped by JMU_71 for some terrific food and chat about the Dukes and the Pack. Looked for norvirginia but he must have gone into the stadium already. Did not make it Godwin. I will next time! In stadium experience was fantastic. Loud & Proud!

Heading to Villanova on Saturday. Go Dukes!
