And they are betting heavily because our QB is now probable.

Still have USA at home. You're in for a war.

I see no answer for the Ellison/Breida combo. Matt Breida will soon be a name everyone knows. His burst through the line and top end speed are remarkable. If you hesitate or blink, he is gone.

All this "you will learn" from a team like GAST has me laughing a bit. Not at USA - because I think they are going to be tough, although I do think we will win by more than one possession.

But I'm thinking that Georgia SOUTHERN playing in Mobile, M I G H T be a little bit different than Georgia STATE playing in Mobile.

We'll soon find out who will learn what. But I'd say that Georgia Southern has already forgotten more about football than GAST will ever learn in any living GAST fan's lifetime.

It will be a tough game, but there isn't a stadium, team, or fan base in the country that we fear. Never have, never will.

A war, you say? Bring it on, Jags! We are going to learn a lot about these two teams this Saturday, and I truly believe the Eagles will come out on top. Great first SBC challenge. Hope the Jag fans come out in big numbers and make it hostile!

Hard to believe Breida probably would have been 3rd string had we not lost Swope and the JC transfer.

True, but he's made us all but forget about Swope as good as he was. The huge advantage Breida has is his ability to take it to the house on any play. The 69 yard run Breida had vs GT probably would have been a 12 yard gain for Swope.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have a Swope still for depth, but Breida is a game changer.

Love this quote from K Ellison: They (USA) have a very talented defensive line,” Ellison added, “and our offensive line is excited about it. They love competition."

Breida's speed is incredible, but the OL should get alot of credit too. That and our WR corps and passing game have surprised everyone.

RE: Latest lines around the Sun Belt
Our O-Line will be in tact this weekend for the first time all season. All Sun Belt Offensive lineman Ucambre Williams (left tackle) missed both games so far but will make his return. That will allow Melvin Meggs to go back to guard.

With Williams out we had to shuffle the line. Each week (Kent State and MSU), however, we had an additional O-Line injury that caused us to really move people around. I hope that is the reason our offense seemed to sputter at times and that we are able to play better on that side of the ball this weekend with our normal O-Line.

Go Jags!

Was told by a Co-worker who was at the msu game that if the receivers could have held onto the ball the game might have been competitive. This is what scares me, we have a history of not being able to pass protect. Add to this our best D lineman is possibly out (not 100% if he does play) we might be in trouble if those receivers start catching this week.

Truth. I hope it was just one game nerves instead of how the season goes. It'll be tough this week too unless they get it together.
