I agree. With our bad defense, and their very good offense we are going to be in for a closer game than people are expecting IMO. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous about this.

Okay, how good is Murray State?

Against Louisville: Made it 14-7, 6:17 left in 1st Q. Impressive.

Then, with 2:13m to go in 3rd Q, down 59-7, they scored a TD.

Averaged just over 2 yards per rush, threw for 55% with an INT... even though they were 4/12 on 3rd down (not horrible) -- time of possession: ~18m vs ~42m

They PASTED Union College -- scored 73 points! But Union College is, according to Wiki: "The college is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)".

NAIA -- doesn't count. I can't believe a D1AA team can play them. Faulkner, another college put up over 60 on them.

So all in all, I would say we'd have to play BAD DEFENSE to have their Offense score more than 24 points in the entire game. Bad Defense meaning worse than our not-very-good D.

I'm going with 56-45 WMU. Our offense is on fire (since halftime at Purdue) and we can't possibly lose to a FCS team two years in a row, but our defense is still bad and will continue to make mistakes against a very fast paced offense.

Franklin represents the best chance for WMU to win. WMU needs to keep the ball out of their offense's hands as much as possible. Great test for the D to get ready for MAC play

It could get interesting on Saturday with forecasts of thunderstorms and 80% chance of rain in the PM... Given that WMU seems to be more balanced on offense that forecast could bode well for them...
