Like Chiefsfan said....had the pass been on target to the receiver (who was wide open), it would have been an instant classic.

That was bada**, it takes some balls to even try something like this. I have to admit though the player playing dead made me laugh harder than Ive laughed all day.

If our "hide the midget" play had not worked in the GoDaddy it would have also been a bad idea. This probably won't be the oddest attempt we see out of this staff.

You have to give credit to the Miami player. He was taking NO CHANCES with the weird. If it's weird....kill it!

Took me a few minutes to stop crying I was laughing so hard. Unbelievable, awesome, and pathetic, all at the same time.

It should have been first down ASU...looks like a targeting hit to me. I bet if ASU runs that again this kid looks around before getting up the next time

Targeting? Really?

If you are the guy who "plays dead" on any play and you attempt to get up, you deserve to get rocked into the following Thursday.

To me, the play would have been a classic whether it was successful or not.

Since it didn't work because of a bad throw, the fake punt that gained huge yard vs Tennessee was best ever?

Horrible day for the young man who threw the pick.

Missed a PAT. Missed (2) 36 yard field goals (THEN threw the interception). Left 7 points on the field plus the turnover.

Later though he pooched an onside kick and recovered it himself and is an excellent leaning toward superior punter.

We all have those days....... Hopefully that was his for the entire season.

stAte has been asking a lot from this guy. He has done really well overall.

I think it is great. If the "hide the midget" play had failed in the GoDaddy Bowl we would have been accused of being stupid...but it worked so we were brilliant. You live by the trick play, you die by the trick play.

The role of the kicker, especially the kicker/punter, leads to weird results. For some reason, I will always remember the performance of Delbert Alvarado, K/P for USF in 2007. When they played at Auburn that year (my wife is a grad), he had a respectable punting game but went 2/6 on FGs. My brothers-in-law and I laughed a lot at him. Until the ones he did hit kept the Bulls tied, and then they won it in overtime. I found out later, thanks to Phil Steele, that he has/had the Big East record for FG distance. Later signed with the Cowboys, I think. I will never forget Delbert Alvarado after that strange day in Auburn.

Of course, he also keeps his memory alive with this.

ok, truth be told, it took me a few min, before I could even watch the whole play. I really was laughing so hard at the "play dead" player. fakes fail all the time no big deal. but, but " play dead " that is the best . still laughing

Would it have been funny if Allen Muse would have done it? :) Not sure....but I hope that kid doesn't have any physical problems in the future. We've all been warned against "crying wolf"?
