UC will enjoy a nice bump in season tix sales next year. (especially premium tix sales...as UC I believe has desposits on most new premium seating and expect almost all of the new high $$ seats to sell out).
Can't wait to visit this new and improve historic venue.

Even at 23,805 that would put Temple just slightly behind Ohio at 24,119 and ahead of everybody else in the MAC.
It's a shame that next year's home games against Penn State and Notre Dame weren't spread out over two years.

true, but its not much different than what it was when they were in the MAC, which was my point. There was a lot of "our attendance will be so much better when we don't have to play these stinking directional Michigan teams anymore" from their fans but its my opinion that you can't blame attendance on your opponent.

2 home games is a pretty small sample size wouldn’t you say, especially when one of the games was against FCS Delaware State?
The Temple Navy game had 28,400 which is higher that every home MAC game this season with the exception of UMass vs Boston College that had 30,000.
Interestingly enough, the 19,200 vs Delaware State would have ranked well inside the upper half (14th of 34) of attendance at MAC home games this season.
It’s funny how MAC fans still hate Temple so much for coming into the conference, getting the football program back on it’s feet, and then getting an invitation out during realignment. Talk about bitter ex girlfriend syndrome.

Ucf will likely only be in 32-34k range unless something happens with ticket sales by Thursday. Tons of seats available.
They tried to increase the ticket price for whatever reason for BYU.

RE: Conference Attendance
When we look at the conference, it isn't hard to see that the conference could move up to the 45-50k average. A team like South Florida used to average 45K a game or more.
In addition, a team like Tulane has built a stadium that creates a better atmosphere for games.
It really isn't the size of the crowd. It is the atmosphere that is created by being in a properly sized stadium. We all are recruiting. Who wants to to play in an empty Super Dome (for example)?

Houston's attendance will continue to tank throughout the season. The only thing to save season ticket renewals for next year is a big time coaching hire.

Conference Attendance
UConn has it's worst attendance since the stadium opened in 2004. If the team could become competitive, attendance would get back to selling out (40K) like under Edsall.

Steve Logan said on his show that ECU's attendance is always down the first Saturday of deer hunting season. I've heard it from fans before, but never from a coach.

Conference Attendance
It may be true but Saturday was not opening day of hunting season. It was opening day of muzzleloading "black powder" season. Gun season starts on the 18th. There's always two weeks of bow season, two weeks of black powder then gun season. I'm sure most hunters are waiting on gun season to open.

you're grossly mistaken if you think MAC fans care enough about Temple to have an opinion. Bitter ex? more like- sorry miss, you look vaguely familiar, have we met before?
I was simply pointing out that the a lot of fans of schools that struggle with attendance tend to blame their conference when in reality for many schools that have actually changed conferences, like Temple, the boost in attendance isn't nearly as strong as some were hoping for/claiming would happen.

oh, I didn't realize they weren't playing home games in the AAC over the last 2 years.

RE: Conference Attendance
Looks like UCF will have about 37,000-39,000 for Thursday night game as BYU returned about half of their ticket allotment (Thursday night vs Saturday game probably stopped a lot of BYU fans/families from all over the state and even in Orlando from attending), plus, UCF is charging higher prices for this "premium game", which seems to have halted any single game tix sales...which was a terrible move by UCF.
$52, $62, $72 Sideline tix for a Thursday Night is just stupid...let alone $41 end zone prices.
UCF/BYU Tix
Maybe the saving grace for UCF is that they can allow overflow student attendance (more than the 12,000 reserved) as UCF Students do love these Thursday night games...so UCF won't put a cap on their attendance tonight....so if 14,000-15,000 students show up, UCF might get near or above 40,000.
NOTE: UCF Students REALLY like these games...as most stay on campus after they take their morning classes...and with perfect weather scheduled for Thursday..just hope most are able to make it into the game after their insane Tailgate bashes.

Bump for update.
American averages 24% more fans per game than MWC, and 48% more fans than CUSA/Sun Belt.
Only 10 G5 schools averaging 30K per game, with Houston about to drop out of contention.
Five of the remaining 9 will be American members next year.
Schools in the 28-29K range: USF, UConn, SMU, San Diego St, Hawaii, UTSA, Marshall, ULaLa, Ark St.
