Kudos to MTSU team and fans
Kudos on a great experience (except for the WKU loss) in Murfreesboro this past weekend.
I saw a lot of fans, including a whole lot of students, having a great tailgating experience.
I felt welcomed and safe on your campus before, during and after the game.
I was very pleased with the amount of RED in your stands. Our fans turned out as I expected.
This will be a continued rivalry in football and men' and women' basketball.
I do wish we had been allowed to play the Muts in men's bball at home this year.

IMHO, the WKU vs MTSU rivalry will be the best in CUSA for many years to come.

Thank you for coming down to visit the university and the city. MT has a good tailgating tradition on campus, so I am glad you were able to experience it. I hope there were as few negative experiences as possible. I was also pleased by the amount of WKU fans, though it may have been a little too many for my liking 03-wink. MT vs WKU is the best CUSA rivalry and I too hope it is for many more years.

RE: Kudos to MTSU team and fans
We had two Western fans at our tailgate, the same two that ended up in Kajun's box, they even ended up at our after party at my friend's apartment.

Good folks.

Glad it was a good experience. I have never made the trip to BG for a football game, but plan to do so next season.

Good stuff. Thanks-- classy post.

Absolutely abhor how Coosa is doing the hoops schedules (M & W playing at same time in mirrored locations). It will hurt both of our schools at the gate (for visiting fans).

Wow, I hadn't even seen that scheduling failure. That's insanely stupid. When I'm in the area I try to go to all MT-WKU basketball games. Now people can't do that and will have to make a hard choice. CUSA needs to revert this - it's stupid. Wow!

Not a hard choice for me-- I'll stay in town instead of travelling to BG to see the women, and vice versa next season I guess.

I will miss Mariah's and Judy's Castle and the ice creamery just outside the city 03-banghead

The game(s) are being played on a Saturday, start one at 1:00P.M. and the other at 6:00 P.M., fans that are so inclined, could attend both games.
The Thursday games are going to a problem for every team, especially for radio listeners, who are unable to attend every game.

RE: Kudos to MTSU team and fans
As I was leaving the game a MT student looked at me as he shrugged his shoulders and said sorry man. While he was not being rude he was trying to be a little jerkish, I responded with.... That was a one hella game.... He paused and said ....yeah yeah it was and told me to have a good night. I hope that students and fans alike understand the passion each has for our teams but continue to learn the importance of a civil rivalry. I think the student expected a different response and I was glad he took the high road also. Ill be back for the bb game

Glad you all had fun, and glad you all traveled as well as you did too... If both teams keep it up this year and next, you all will have a sellout in BG next year.
