Daniels and Lewis?
I apologize if this has been answered already, but did they discuss why Akeem Daniels only had one touch on Saturday? In addition, why has Tommylee Lewis' involvement so limited? There has been virtually no jet sweep this season. I am certainly not complaining about the offense.... just curious as to why two of the main pieces weren't used much this past weekend.

TLL wasn't dressed.
Akeem limped off the field.

RE: Daniels and Lewis?
Akeem limped off the field in the past 2 games.

NU just before Brown's 2nd TD catch
UNLV in the 1st quarter after a sweep.

I will not be surprised if he sits the Arky game...OR maybe sucks it up this week and takes the bye and Kent St off.

Would love to know the severity of both injuries. Hoping TLL was precautionary with Arkansas looming. He'll be one of our only guys capable of out-running SEC players.

I hope we have Tommy Lee Lewis and Bass for the Arkansas game

I think that is correct about TLL. He was a game time decision so it likely is not super serious.

We will need all our best players back for the Arkansas game for us to have a chance. TLL, Daniels, Bass, etc. will all need to contribute in some form there for us to come out with a W.

Good thing Cam is regaining his health. He will be a work horse. Harris looked good too.

Tons of jet sweeps. Hate Daron running them though. Just too vital to this team for him to take that many hits. Playing with fire in my opinion.

Problem is Duecee doesn't seem to have the explosion, maybe saffold or Beebe are options but I'm not sure you are getting much there also.

TLL is crucial for Arky...I'm confident they felt they didn't need him in Vegas and played it conservative.

+1. That was a great grab on the TD pass.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I'm looking for more from Harris. His catch was nice, but there were a few times I noticed him turn to the outside and lose a yard when he could've squared his shoulders and gotten three or four north and south. He averaged 3.8 YPC, the lowest among our backs on Saturday.

Not hating, just hope he continues to improve.

+1. I saw the same things too with Harris and was not overly impressed. He's got the tools, though.

have to run the sweeps as many other plays come off it. I would not be surprised if TLL is red shirted. I think the injury is a nagging one that may take nothing but rest

He played two full games. Doubt he can get any sort of redshirt.

He has already played this year so he is not eligible for a regular Red Shirt. I doubt he has a serious enough injury to have the training staff hold him out for the rest of the year and TRY for a medical RS.

Other than Stingily, I haven't seen much from any of the RBs. Akeem hasn't played enough to really compare. It's not like we had guys getting yards after contact or making people miss even against Presbyterian.

BTW, I noticed they beat #12 Furman. So they're a powerhouse!

Akeem's been going when he's in. Akeem and Cam are both over 6 YPC. Hare is at 5.2. ACRB is at 4.7 which isn't too shabby although he's only had 20 for 72 in the last two games. Harris is only at 3.6. I would have to agree neither ACRB or Harris have been great. NIU's longest rush of the season is 27 by Maddie, so they haven't really hit the big run yet.

Kinda another reason I don't mind Maddie continuing to play some. I think he'd be an asset with his legs. Even if it's just sort of a wildcat formation and not him playing whole series.
