ATHLON PICKS GRAMMER AS POW
ATHLON (owned and operated by a bunch of Vandy dudes) has never shown any love for the Blue Raiders but Lo n' Behold: They selected Austin Grammer QB at MT as Player of the Week for CUSA for his super game against WKU! I was there and although he does not have the arm Logan Kilgore had, Grammer showed some savvy and looks like a real Field General! He just may be the Real Deal.

A Question that was posed to a few of us last evening......... if Logan Kilgore would have been our QB against Western, would we have won the game ?

Most of us answered "no"

Grammar was phenomenal in our game Saturday. Found gaps and wasn't afraid to run. If Doughty had the quickness and vision of Grammar, who knows how good Western could be.

Congrats on the honor!

Even though Grammer was awesome; I've got a hunch that Doughty may have Pro Potential. He throws LASERS! Accuracy is exceptional. Western will win Most of its games this year.

You could make a strong argument for Doughty as player of the week even in a losing effort.

I think he had over 500 even without the overtime.

Doughty has come along way, but not sure he has the arm for the next level...You have to be able to throw it downfield some and not sure he is capable of doing that....Our system is perfect for him and he has cut down on a lot of mistakes he made at the start last seasons....Pluses, Doughty has at least the height for NFL QB....

Definitely a step up at QB for us -- very glad he's working well.

Doughty for WKU is an NFL guy no doubt if he keeps this up. I wish we had him instead of Stephen Morris at Miami the last few years ... 03-banghead
