Locker Room Upgrade
I was fortunate to join some others yesterday in a tour of the first wave of the locker room renovation while the team was warming up about 40 min before the start of the game. There is a new ceiling light with our Duke Dog logo. There are team pics and pics of former and current players that are in the NFL. I posted some pics on Twitter this morning and I will try to post them here as well. This will help keep our current team motivated and it will help with recruits.

RE: Locker Room Upgrade
There is more work that needs to be done to the locker room. We need to cover the cinder block walls and do additional work to get this facility upgraded. In order to compete for talent now, we need a locker room that compliments one of the best stadiums in FCS and we need to have the vision that this locker room will also compliment a top notch mid major FBS facility in the near future. If we build it, they will come calling...hopefully (and soon).

Honestly, besides the stadium our lockerroom and weightroom is competing with FSU right now. I was at NC stateand walk through the facilities last weekend and i hope we are going to look like that one day, we are very close right now. Just need to win games and play politics lol.

Which FSU? NC State has always amazed me because I had a chance to see them recently and it seems like they have everything you'd want but yet their program has been unsuccessful. I know they won yesterday but they can't get much going. Has to be frustrating as an alum who puts millions of dollars in and you still can't win football games.

Imagine being an alum from JMU and NC State! New coaching staffs at both have yet to impress with the product on the field so we will see how the next few years play out with more of their recruits. I still think the Wolfpack was in better hands with Tom O'Brien.

We are at least headed in the right direction. It might take a few years to get where we should be but this team is exciting and they are young. Don't get me wrong, I never want to wait to have a winning season and I hope we win 8 or 9 games in 2014. The game of the year for JMU is next week at Villanova. If we are able to win in PA, the rest of the schedule is not as bad. Good teams on the schedule but the hardest games will be at home.
