Will be an interesting game. Ark.only threw the ball 12 times for 61 yards vs Texas Tech. And obviously our run D is way better than our pass D.

It'll be interesting to see if we can slow down their running attack. Their O-Line is HUGE. Here's the starters for their season opener against Auburn:
TE 84 Hunter Henry (So., 6-6, 255)
LT 76 Dan Skipper (So., 6-10, 316)
LG 75 Luke Charpentier (Sr., 6-4, 310)
C 65 Mitch Smothers (Jr. , 6-4, 320)
RG 55 Denver Kirkland (So., 6-5, 330)
RT 74 Brey Cook (Sr., 6-7, 322)

RE: Arkansas fans discuss our Defense
The good news is they're not a great passing team, and that's our weakness right now. They won't exploit our true freshmen corners like UNLV. The bad news is their rushing attack is a well oiled machine, so I'm not sure how much the good news matters.
I'm hoping Bass returns for this one. Carey said he's close, but who the hell knows.

Please tell me those are typos...I have never seen a 6 10" tackle! Their rg is bigger than any LT we have faced

Not a typo for Dan Skipper. Got the 2-deeps from arkansasfight.com (SBNation) and verified it on arkansasrazorbacks.com.

No wonder their pass offense is mediocre, the QB can't see over the line to throw!

Those are some large individuals. Like the Wisconsin O-line when we played them.

Massey's site is starting to hone in on Arkansas after this week. I see they expanded the 3 point differential to a 7 point differential for Arkansas and raised Arkansas' chance of winning from 60 to 70%.

So how do we slow down their rushing attack when they have players that big? Put 8 men in the box and challenge them to throw?

Going to need to have great disciplined LB play. They are going to have success running the ball, we just can't let them have big runs must put them in some 3rd down and medium situations where we can make a play and force some punts.

That's precisely the recipe. They are gonna get theirs on the ground. Just need to limit big plays and when we get them to third down need to make those plays. Need to maintain good gap discipline and the tackle well vs a team like this. Can't get washed out and give huge cutback lanes to backs like Collins. Hold your ground, give up the 6 or 7 and live to fight the next play.
Devante Davis is an absolute stud...if we feel comfortable manning him up with Logan and Smalls and crew than we should plan on doing the same this week. Commit the extra hat to the box.

The safeties are going to be in the box and they (and the linebackers) are going to have to shed blocks and make good one-on-one tackles, which is hard. Very hard.

Our offense is going to have to carry us and we HAVE to win the turnover battle. Our offense has to play its best game of the year and our defense has to play smart and be opportunistic.

1) Hope that the Huskies win the coin toss
2) Score on the 1st posession
3) Pull what EIU did to NIU last year, if Arkansas does not defend the kickoff well go for the onside kick. Recover it and keep the ball away from their offense.
4) If the onside kick is successful once, Arkansas may align more players closer to the 50 yard line which means NIU's coverage team will have a better chance of tackling the Arkansas return men closer to their goal line

Which is why they are called Hogs.
Does Doug English have any eligibility left?

Who's Doug English? Some Voltron-esque amalgamation of former Huskie greats?
