Selfridge picked up his first professional paycheck last week in the Czech Republic on the European Challenge Tour. Shot 9 under par, good to tie for 17th place, and earn him an invite to this week's tourney in Switzerland.

Of course, he is still playing in the minor leagues so to speak, but I can't remember a UT golf alum making a name on any of the pro tours. I think Brad Heaven played some pro golf in New Zealand or Australia, but am not sure that lasted very long. Nice to see Chris doing so well so far.

Strange that they include a picture of a different golfer. Anyway, he finished tied for 13th in the latest tourney. It's not 100% clear in the article, but it sounds like he is currently 74th in points, needs to make the top 15 to qualify.

This week Chris Selfridge shot a 63 in the final round of the Fred Olsen Challenge to finish tied for 16th. This is his 4th top 20 finish, and he is ranked #47 on the Euro Challenge Tour. I believe you have to finish in the top 15 at the end of the year to qualify for the regular tour.
