Including a loss to a school called Abilene Christian which I thought was a high school in Texas.

That is bad, but there are some silver linings. Georgia Southern has played 2 P5 schools really close. Their future is bright once they get their full bank of scholarships.

That's an informed comment.

Well for two years running we were, not this year though. Going to be a tough year. However since the conference appears to be so weak, I predict that Arkansas State, Georgia Southern, Texas State and ULM will come out with pretty decent records.

My favorite Sunbelt score was Abilene Christian defeating Troy. What an embarrassment. Great Southland Conference win over the Sunbelt here. Troy should consider dropping down to FCS.

Well 5 Sun Belt schools did about as well as expected or better (OK only GaSo did better), but five schools flat laid an egg.

And my favorite in week 1 was the Bethune Cookman over FIU win.

I can't speak for the Sun Belt programs, but I like where my school is heading. With a team built in the FCS and our current scholarship limitation, we should have won two games vs ACC teams to follow our win over Florida. We're three hours from Atlanta and two from North Florida which is an ideal location for recruiting. Combine that with our championship tradition, we are going to make some noise. I see no reason why we can't have seasons similar to what ucf did last year.

In FCS, the Pioneer Football League went 0-7 this weekend in non-conference play. Only a conference game between Jacksonville and San Diego produced a win for a PFL team.

*ULm was at LSU. no G5 will win there
*Georgia southern played Georgia Tech to a 3 point game
*Arkansas state played Miami tough self inflicted mistakes from a new offense showed again.decent game to watch.
*ULL ran into the Ole miss Buzzsaw..freeze is really putting Ole miss together now!
*South Alabama played the Best Mississippi State team in their programs history.

With that said Troy, Idaho, New Mexico st and Texas st lost to even competition

I really want UCF and Southern to rekindle the old FCS rivalry. We owe you a few beatdowns. 04-cheers

Yeah, fortunately we caught you guys early on and had some success. I would definitely like to see a game given the history and relative proximity of the schools. I'm not sure it will happen though.
