Does going to/winning the Access Bowl make G5's more attractive to P5's?
Does it really make a difference if a G5 makes the Orange/Peach/Cotton, etc. and beats a top 10 P5 school?
Does that increase their expansion worth?

Yes. It's not the only factor to be sure, but it's worth noting that TCU and Utah both won bcs bowls. I don't think TCU would have been in the big 12 without that win. Also without their success and name recognition West Virginia wouldn't have been as high and Louisville would have likely would have lost to UConn without their success. Going forward it probably won't matter as much as i don't expect much power 5 conference expansion, but winning these games is key to national recognition regardless.

As a stand-alone act, likely not. However, such an action has repercussions: increased fanbase, increased financial support, increased visibility, etc. which in turn lead to more viability as a candidate. It's not a direct correlation, but it could be something that helps move the school from potential to kinetic.

So that means increased value to TV which gives them a better chance of being financially viable.

I think the Big 12 in 2011-2012 was in a unique situation. After having lost Nebraska, Colorado, Mizzou, and TAMU, they badly needed to immediately shore up their football credibility, so grabbing recent BCS bowl winners TCU and WVU was a way to do that.
But absent that kind of desperation caused by stripping, which isn't likely for the next 10 or so years at least, winning these big bowls won't do much of anything to directly get a G5 into a P5. If it can help them build up their fan bases, it could do so indirectly.

If an access team that already has a solid fan base goes on a nice run - one school getting the access spot multiple years, and winning those games it would help immensely, but there has to be an opening, and add value to a P5.
