Arkansas tailgating
Alright, after my breathing has returned to normal from tonight's game... I'm ready to think about next weekend.

I've got 4 people driving down, leaving Friday morning, looking for a Huskie friendly tailgate area in Fayetteville. Where's anyone setting up shop? I'll have the tent and flagpole ready...

I'm driving down Friday as well, should have a group of 6. Would like to meet up with other Huskie fans as well. Early forecast looks good, sunny and 80 degrees for a high.

We will be there Saturday morning. Not sure where we will park though. My father has a handicap sticker and cannot walk very far without issues so we might have to go to one of those lots.

It also says no public consumption of alcohol. any Arkansas fan want to elaborate on how that is enforced?

Looks like it's just the same thing as Illinois, no open containers, but not enforced unless you're a rowdy idiot.

Biggest issue I'm having is finding a lot where we can meet up and party together.

I recommend this place for tailgating, it's a premium lot and it's up on a hill in a nice area. No drunk riff raff to deal with, and there's also a shuttle that will take you to the stadium and pick you up. They also group the opposing team's fans together so you will be around other NIU folks. It's $30 per car and it's well worth it.

Looks like tailgating opens at 8 am. How soon does it fill up? Most of us NIU fans are used to a 5 hour tailgate, but I know they go big in the south / SEC country.

Looks like the entrance to Pratt Barn is 0.6 miles from the stadium if you want to walk or don't want to wait / pay for the $5 for the round trip shuttle.

It won't fill up, it's a pretty big field. It doesn't even get filled up for SEC games.

RE: Arkansas tailgating
If you are an early riser and don't mind setting up around 8 am you can find a private home owners lot in the neighborhoods west of the stadium,
pay to park and tailgate there. Maybe $20. Up near Pratt Barn is a good spot, just off the beaten path a bit for walk by traffic. Baum Stadium south of the campus
is a good spot as well. There is Leverette Elementary School just north of campus on Garland St. You can also pay to park and tailgate there.

If not tailgating, get to Dickson early, park and then just bar hop and spend the day.

Have fun tailgating y'all! I will be watching the Game in My Film Studio in Chicago's West Loop with an LSU Fan and His Girlfriend who is a NIU Fan! Should be a great one!

Please let us know how things went after the game... Cheers.

Just used some United Airlines frequent flyer miles to get down there by 3:00. We'll try and check out this tailgating area as well. I checked on tickets to the game and there are supposedly only four sections for NIU fans (111, 510,511, & 512). Seats are available and the ticket person at the school said he did not expect a non SEC game to sell out. Has anyone bought tickets yet?

Head to Beer on Clark, plenty of NIU fans to jaw with there.
