Cincy went tier 1 after decimating a MAC team? Lol
no we were tier 1 before playing a game...i said this last week too. We are tier 1 because we are and the aac blows
ECU is teir 1 and you are with everyone else till you play an opponent with a pulse.
You mean have an actual FBS win?

ECU is probably the only game where we dont have any chance. Cincy is at the end of the season and our starting safety should be healthy and Colin Thompson should be playing by then for sure, so I dont want to say we have no chance. Other than that, 5 wins out of:
Delaware State
UConn
Tulsa
Houston
UCF
Memphis
Penn State
Tulane
should be very possible

RE: Week 3: Rank the AAC
ECU (most impressive looking team thus far, and a big win today)
Cincy (1 game, 1 solid offensive performance)
Memphis (has been impressive on both sides of the ball through 2 games)
Houston (really came alive in last game and looked dangerous against a great team)
UCF (blown out today, and I need to see a W before moving them back up)
Temple (the Vandy win looks less impressive each week, and lost at home to a good navy team. Need to see more.)
Tulane (ok so far, the offense has a pulse and they made quick work of an FCS favorite today)
Everybody else has been an embarrassment thus far...

Week 3: Rank the AAC
1. ECU
2. Cincinnati
3. UCF
4. Memphis
5t. Houston
5t. Tulane
5t. Temple
5t. Tulsa
9. UCONN
10. USF
11. SMU
Before the year started we marveled at how many inexperienced QBs there were. It's showing.

Kinda makes me feel guilty when ours throws 6 td's and no picks in his first appearance.

RE: Week 3: Rank the AAC
Just about every AAC team is a let down compared to preseason expectations. Take these rankings with a grain of salt.
1. ECU (Only AAC team so far to beat a ranked P5 opponent)
2. UCF (Battle tested after playing two P5 opponents that are a combined 6-0)
3. Cincy (Beat up on a 1-2 MAC opponent that has allowed 127 points in 3 games)
4. Houston (Not a bad showing against a solid BYU team)
5. Memphis (Still have them riding high after the UCLA showing)
6. Temple (Need to see more but better than the rest of the league)
7. Tulane (Would've liked more separation against SE Louisiana)
8. UConn (Actually not too bad of a showing against Boise State)
9. SMU (You know this league is bad when you improve after a bye)
10. South Florida (Blown out by the worst NC State team in years)
11. Tulsa (Crushed by FAU? Come on, man.)

How many rankings you going to do, Bro?
I'd love to see your rationale for why UCONN is better than Tulane and Tulsa.
I'd also love to see anyone's rationale for not having SMU last.
What?? I was sarcastically replying to the post above, not making 2 rankngs. I do have uconn tied with tulsa and 1 spot above tulane. But i do have SMU dead last. Re read my ranking. I only did 1 .

When I told you people last year ECU was going to take this Conference over and possibly keep it at her helm for the next few years i wasn't lying. Ruffin knows how to recruit, when Shane Carden leaves there is another QB just as good who gels with our up tempo offense.
At ECU the style of play doesn't adjust to the QB, the QB adjusts to the style of play.
Expect Kurt Benkert to start play midway through the conference play. He will step in and throw on blow out games.

You are so right brother! We will "take this conference over immediately and keep it at the helm the next few years" until the big 12 moves us on up and outa here!

This. Except switch Memphis and Temple.
Still think we're capable of being top 3, but I need to see some wins from us first.

I dont think anyone is trying to say it's an impressive win. It's more of personal impressiveness to win big on the road against an SEC team with still the youngest team in the country. We have the fewest seniors of anyone in the country. Including last year, this is a 3 year process, where we're slowly getting rid of bad players and replacing them with more talented players. We're not there yet, and probably won't get there until next year, but the caliber of players we're able to recruit is increasing each year.

Actually my house is dry. Be a little more confident man. After seeing our D today I am not worried for the next 2 years. Offense will continue to towards an upward swing.
Besides UCF and Cinncy, I don't see anyone threatening us in the Conference.
Guess we can start working on Basketball.

you may be right on that but if you go back to the prediction thread you will see a lot of UCF fan sh!t talk about Missouri and how UCF was gonna pound them. It s all on there. I was one of the very few who picked Mizzou. And its not because I think mizzou is great, but because after I watched the Penn st opener for you guys, I got the impression that ucf was overrated. Seasons still young and you could finish but there was a ton of ucf hype/overconfidence coming into this by ucf fans on here.

Hmm I haven't seen the prediction thread on here, but at least on our own board most of the fans were saying UCF would lose (although by a closer margin lol). It only got out of control there when some Mizzou fans started trolling us.
But you're right, i think some of our fans were a victim of our own hype. After last season, can you blame us though?

RE: Week 3: Rank the AAC
Based on overall performance and records thus far 3 weeks into the season, I'd have to pair things up like this.
Best chance to win the conference
ECU and Cincinnati
Good chance to win the conference
Memphis and Houston
Still a decent shot to win the conference
UCF and Temple
Little chance of winning the conference
South Florida, Tulane, Connecticut, Tulsa
No chance of winning the conference
SMU
