Re: Rawls out
Rawls situation seems to be non injury related, according to CMU Life it was due to something that the athletic dept. became aware of as of Friday, probably an NCAA regulation this could be real bad on nothing at all....
Fire-Up Chips
Maybe the NCAA were wondering how he managed 43 credit hours at UM in 3 months.

RE: Rawls
Beamish may be the most overrated player in the MAC. Regularly makes the All MAC team, but gets blown by constantly by DT's.

Stuff I'm reading makes me think my 43 credits in 3 months theory may be it. He wasn't suspended for a team violation, but wasn't in the stadium either.......hmmmm.
I'm thinking someone at Purdue made some enquiries. Cause if true, that Purdue loss becomes a Purdue win, and the Chips go to 0-3.
Could the Chimps be Cheaters

RE: Rawls
Doesn't the Purdue loss just become nullified, and not a win?

RE: Rawls
If he were inelgible because of U of M classes, why does CMU get penalized if they didn't know?

I'd say a lot might depend on who brought it to the NCAA's attention. If Fleck did it, no they wouldn't even bother to look into it. But if the Big Ten comish brought to their attention after Purdue alerted them to it, then I think they listen. The Pig Ten needs every break it can get these days.
I don't know if it would count as a loss, but I can't see it counting as a win either.

RE: Rawls
Let's see how this could play out. B1G points out that an athlete while at one of their schools cheated, transferred to a MAC school, then they bring it up to the authorities?
That could really backfire on them!
