Well that was a heck of a 4th quarter. As a PSU alum I'm obviously happy with the outcome. A game like this is why I am so glad the B1G added Rutgers and Maryland as members. PSU has not been anyone's main rival in the B1G until now. Great game Rutgers, I look forward to many more!

RE: PSU @ Rutgers
If teams switched QBs, Rutgers would have won by 21.

There were receivers open for Gary Nova in the 2nd half but he got happy feet and continually chose the wrong receiver or was inexcusably inaccurate. This game is the defensive blue print for all other Big Ten teams against Rutgers. Flood needs to get another QB on the field now and have the team take its lumps now so it can have a better chance to win games in conference.

Gary Nova appears to have a psychological issue while under pressure that he can't overcome, even with fridge coaching him. I've never seen a QB throw so many illegal forward passes. It's really bizarre.

If RU isn't going to move on from Nova at this point, it gives you a clue how much faith they have in Laviano. RU fans really have to cross their fingers that that LSU transfer QB or one of the new recruits develop.

Agreed. 5 ints and the forward pass penalty killed us. It was an amazing job done by the D to not let PSU capitalize on all those turnovers. Gary isn't the only one who panics though. Going back to the Schiano era, RU has a history of leading in the big game, only to not be able to close it out.

All we ever wanted was to be someone's primary rival. Sadly though its more the hammer hitting the nail with a 2-23 record against you guys. I think the PSU/UMD/RU trifecta is going to produce a nice 3-way rivalry for the conference.
