Cincy is everything we hoped for and should give Ohio State a run for thier money.

UConn played well against Boise until the 4th quarter.

I thought UCF would beat Mizzou or at least play them close. Didn't see the game. Thoughts?

Pirates played a great game defensively and had spurts of good offense. Great win for the conference. South Carolina just beat #6 Georgia.

Thought USF would be the wolfies at home. Didn't expect a blow out.

I am not as fearful of playing Tulsa on the road this year...

Tulane is winning like they should.

Houston showed flashes of being a good team but too late in the game...

We played Mizzou tough in the first half 14-10.
Fell apart midway through the 3rd. Offensive and defensive lines were horrid in the second half.

The B10 used to play the sisters of the poor early in the season, then each other, tout their great records, then get blasted in the bowls. Now, they are having to play more quality teams earlier, and getting exposed earlier.

RE: This week in the AAC
usf vs uconn on friday will break one of their season...probably putting fire on taggart if he losses (diaco has the rebuilding excuse for this season)

and i think the ucf vs houston game in 3 week will set up the winner for atleast top 4 in the league..and id worry about the mental confidence of the loser and if signs of "quit" start creeping in

so did i, defense looked good the first half, the offense wasn't "explosive" but was very methodical when it ran properly

they werent great on either but a great starting spot for a new coach

Most disappointed in the coogs so far. Ucf had a tough go with schedule and who they lost, still look to be a conference contender this year. ECU and the Bearcats will be a great bout for sure. Waiting for usf to get back to where they were. Memphis and uconn showing good things.

...Tulane with a solid win as well. I remember some tough teams in both fb and bb from them.

Our coach is a joke. Plenty of talent--he may even have us playing decent ball by the end of the year--but, I'm ready for a coach that has the team ready to go in week one.

All of that 'power' talk by Aresco and that ad in USA Today is looking kind of silly at this point. Talk is cheap.

ECU gained some measure of respect today, but the league as a whole has been just plain awful so far.

leagues are defined solely by its top.. wazzu and colorado aren't used in defining the pac

and the ACC was considered having a great year solely of fsu last year .. when the overall league was bad last year

ECU and cincy finish ranked our lead will be considered the best g5 league

Bad time to suck but we will all be hiring better coaches - SMU, Tulsa and Houston

Basketball will be strong

American is probably better than the rest of the gang of five but every single conference stinks. Even the power conferences are full of teams living off pre-season hype and name branding. College football is basically a bunch of average teams with very few great teams every season.

Right now it feels like there is only three "p5" anyway. There is more gray after that, plus fsu.

In summary, basically everybody but ECU, Tulane, and Cincy looked like hot garbage. USF should be especially ashamed to lose to that trash program in Raleigh. 04-coffee
