Western Michigan beats Idaho 45 to 33. Thought Idaho would get this one.

Mississippi St. 35 USA 3. This was a real chance for a win over the SEC I thought.

Mississippi 56 Louisiana 14. Beatdown here. I am beginning to revise what I had thought about Louisiana.

Miami 41 Ark. St. 20. I figured this would be within 7-10 points.

Air Force 48 Ga. State 38. While Ga. State can score some points it remains to be seen if they can beat a FBS team.

Ga. Tech 42 Ga. Southern 38. A great comeback but once again we lose to an ACC team in the last minute.

Navy 21 Texas St. 0 right now in 2nd quarter. This one is going south fast for Texas St.

UTEP 14 NMSU 10 in 2nd quarter right now. We need NMSU to get this one badly.

Troy 7 Abilene Christian 7 gettting close to half. Please Troy we don't need a loss here.

LSU 17 ULM 0 now in 3rd. ULM has hung pretty tough so far but I fear this one is about to get away.

We could easily be looking at a day with only 1 or 2 Belt wins today.

If it makes anyone feel any better. Texas Captains inexplicably chose to kick off after UCLA won the opening toss and deferred. They have to kick off to start both halves as a result.

Well we didn't screw up the coin toss today. So there's that.

Pretty crappy football day all around. Hoping more ranked teams get beat at least.

I see this week as one of the most difficult, as most of us are playing P5 teams. Hopefully when we see conference play next week we will see some clear winners and losers within our own ranks. I am faithful in Georgia Southern to do well this season. I also think ULM is going to step up and do better than most would expect.

Yep, when we get into conference, we'll be winning 50% for sure.

Seriously, the p5 teams most likely would have swept the other conferences as well. It's about what we expected.

I just realized we don't play you guys this year. I'm happy we don't play you guys. I watched your game today and was very impressed. I think you guys have a chance to win the conference.

no doubt. Very, very apparent majority of the league is down this year.

I expected a lot more out of Louisiana this year. I suppose it's still pretty early to say this. I thought you were going to steamroll LA tech. Conference wise, you can still easily bounce back.

We will see as we get into conference play next week. We have brought great effort at N.C. State and Ga. Tech and it remains to be seen if we can maintain that level of effort. Next week's game at South Alabama is a huge game for us.

I don't see a game thread and don't want to start one, but I'll drop this here:

Abilene Christian 28
Troy 28
