AAC to replace Big 10
I think we should petition to have the AAC replace the Big 10 as a power 5 conference. We currently have more wins against P-5 schools than the Big 10. how far they have fallen.

It almost seems the more money they get the more they stink on the field...this year has been amazing so far

RE: AAC to replace Big 10
It seems like at least 2/3rds of the B10 has always stunk, it just didn't matter in the past when there used to be no such thing as the BCS, playoffs, the importance of SOS, etc...They were happy to basically operate as the big 2-little 8, and the prize in the end was the Rose Bowl.
A lot of the bottom feeders never really got the memo that it was time to build their programs and not just collect the fat checks. Also when your expansion is solely based on TV markets, you end up with schools like Rutgers and Maryland-not exactly a formula for on field success in the short term.

You use Maryland when Rutgers is sitting right there waiting. On the BTN pregame show, they mentioned that Rutgers had a chance to start a season 3-0 for the first time since 1955 (!) and for only the 4th time EVER (!!) to use as evidence that Rutgers is on the upswing...um...yeah...

They extended Kyle Flood so I assume even the Rutgers athletic department is laughing at themselves

This is wrong. Rutgers was unbeaten when they came to UC in 2006 (9-0 I think).

Well, BTN's research department is god awful then, because my brother and I both commented on why anyone would ever say that when they are trying to sell a new product.

Too bad that on the field performance is about the last thing that matters, in determining who is, and who is not, in the P5.

RE: AAC to replace Big 10
I wonder if the Big Ten is happy with new member Rutgers? (Glad they aren't in our league) The hits just keep on coming for that overrated conference:

Rutgers AD: Behavior 'regrettable'
Updated: September 15, 2014, 4:23 PM ET
By Josh Moyer | ESPN.com

Rutgers athletic director Julie Hermann issued a public apology Monday afternoon for the "classless display" of some fans against Penn State after photos popped up on social media of some Scarlet Knights fans making light of the Jerry Sandusky child sex abuse scandal.

The Scarlet Knights, making their Big Ten debut, hosted the Nittany Lions on Saturday night, and photos began making the rounds on Facebook and Twitter before the game. Several photos showed Rutgers fans wearing red "Beat Ped State!" T-shirts, while another showed an inappropriate banner in Penn State's colors.

"On behalf of Rutgers University and the Athletic Department, we would like to apologize for the regrettable actions of a handful of Rutgers fans on Saturday that do not convey the message of good, competitive spirit that we look forward to having with our new Big Ten rival Penn State University," Hermann wrote in a statement.

Hermann alluded to both the T-shirts and the banner in a news release and said they briefly appeared on Rutgers' Facebook page as part of a 200-picture montage. The photos were immediately removed.

Hermann said she contacted Penn State's athletic director, Sandy Barbour, to offer further apologies.

"I would like to apologize equally to the Penn State University fans, as well as Rutgers fans that were subjected to this classless display that does not represent the ethos of our university, athletic department or fan base."

Rutgers set a school attendance record for the game with a crowd of 53,774 at High Point Solutions Stadium, 37 more fans than the 2009 Cincinnati-Rutgers contest. Rutgers lost to Penn State 13-10 on Saturday night.

Oklahoma's Chuka Ndulue on West Virginia fans: “They’re very loud and very rude. Almost like (Texas) Tech. I want to say they're worse.”

Cut of the same cloth. Loved seeing Tech get rolled on Saturday.

He will show up again, but this time I am glad as Cincy fans can really troll him.
