Boomer!
Since the Tigers have a bye this week, I figured I'd post about the destruction that's hours away here in Norman! I love the progress Tiger football has made and I've even made a potential believer in my lab colleague. I sure hope Memphians are beginning to open their eyes and coming out to support Tiger football. All that said, Let's go Oklahoma - Boomer Sooner!

PS - My wife has been acting like she gets sick every time we see UT fans strolling around town!! Love it!

As always, Go Tigers Go!

No idea why Tennessee keeps scheduling schools like Oregon and Oklahoma during their rebuilding phase while Bama and co. are loading up on FCS schools to feast on. Just making it harder on themselves.

Maybe...

But, Alabama opened with West Virginia this year, scheduled when WV was top ten caliber, I believe opened with VTech the year before, Michigan the year before that, Clemson...although neutral site games...while Utk will get OU back in knoxsburg.

Florida plays FSU every year...SC plays Clemson every year...Georgia plays GTech every year and adds in a big opponent quite often.

Memphis opened with Austin Peay and has played Martin the prior two seasons.

In terms of rebuilding, Utk probably should avoid rougher OOC competition, but they really do not do anything more than those southern schools with very difficult permanent OOC opponents.

RE: Boomer!
UTK needs to dumb down their schedule a bit so that they can win a bit more. Win, and they get bowl access. With bowl access will come better recruits.
When you can't go 6-6, it is hard to recruit the caliber of SEC talent that you need to run a successful SEC type of program.
