Typical. Just admit you're not torn at all and you want UCONN to lose. I would venture to guess you'd like it if the final score was 63-10.

UCONN could win 600-21 and YOU would still be a loser.

Living among liberals makes him very angry.

At least he's not pathetic enough to bring politics into something that has nothing to do with it to begin with....

Husky, that's something I've mentioned in the spin room.

Tough loss guys but there's progress! Huskies just need to look back to 'from whence ye came.' Coach Diaco is making improvements at a good pace considering where the team was when he took over the program. As tough as it may be, it's just going to take time and lots of patience.

Whaaaaaaa! Cry me a river.

Typical Southern/Memphis response....and I know having lived in Memphis from 2009 to 2012.

We were all pulling for UConn except one understandable situation where a poster lives in Idaho, and even he was "torn".

However, do all UConn fans react so poorly to normal comments with "backhanded compliment", and the response to the "torn" poster? Or was it just "in game" frustration?

The whole reference to "typical Southern/Memphis response" was weird also.

Holy Cow, those were unusual responses to say the least.

I can't speak for any other UConn fans but I feel frustration about how the football program regressed at the worst possible time, in terms of conference realignment. The past is the past however and I saw some good things today; certainly better than 2 weeks ago against BYU. It will take time, and better talent, to really right this ship.

Thank you for the response.

I fully understand the frustration and how UConn fared in realignment only worsens it. If the caustic remarks were the result of frustration, a bit of a "pass" is due, but those were unusual responses to folks that were pulling for UConn to win.

What? Come on. He's a true frosh who is being slowly brought along. UConn has 2 other options at RB. Newsome is going to be excellent.

UConn's problem is that the starting QBs career is over.

I don't want to get into this since it's silly but surely you noticed the previous post about Conn. and liberals. That's what he responded to. If it were me, I would have just ignored the troll.

I would have ignored the whole topic if that was the only caustic response, but it was part of a very obvious pattern. You're right, the whole topic is silly, but it just seemed like an one odd response after another. Perhaps it's frustration, perhaps it was just 3 folks that started Saturday night festivities a bit early.

But your starting QB wasn't lighting it up exactly against BYU and Stony Brook

I bolded the part that started......whatever that was. It was something I told UofMemphis in the spin room, and he brought it up here in response to the "torn" poster. JD Tulane is the poster who claimed he was torn about the game. I called him out on his BS about being "torn". Spoiler alert: He wasn't! The above is the end result of that.

He's talking about Casey Cochran, who never played against Stony Brook.

The starting QB was lights out against the AAC last year when he took over as a true freshman. He suffered a concussion against BYU, then didn't play at all against Stony Brook.

He completed 36 passes for 461 yards, 4 TDs and 0 interceptions against your Memphis Tigers as a true freshman. 45 points. He was a pretty good player, for a freshman.

Not the same tiger team from earlier in the year. Fuente had left some players back at campus because he felt like they weren't mentally prepared.

That's irrelevant to the discussion. The point is the QB UConn lost was a good player who lead them to 3 AAC wins after he took over, and he did it by slinging the ball all over the field as a true freshman.

Dude wasn't good. What you did to us is irrelevent because we didn't even have a full roster. Our guys should abuse you with the new sets and the progression the offense has taken this year. The next game is Middle Tennessee so UConn is irrelevent to me at the moment.

Before the game started I looked at the prediction thread and saw who picked uconn to beat Boise and they was several. More than who picked uconn to beat BYU. After that games the mantra was, "uconn was supposed to lose anyway" let that mantra continue. Way too much to expect for a "power 6" conference team to beat a couple of G5 's at home.
