Always have thought this was interesting...Illinois has essentially had 3 good teams this century, 2001 Sugar, 2007 Rose and 2010 when they played Baylor in Texas bowl. Ironically we caught them in our 2 matchups in those years and we took them to the wire both meetings.

If we had gotten them in any other year besides 07 I'm confident we'd have beat them. Than there wouldn't have been this narrative about us being the best in the state it would just be fact.

And it is a fact right now, that's the only negative I can see about the whole ad, it is posing a question that already has an answer, which only calls into question the credibility of the correct answer, which shouldn't be questioned in the first place because it is so obvious.

I agree. It takes a lot of balls to write that in the Daily Illni.

He's a long time friend of mine so I'm hoping to take him to a Huskie game in the near future. Might be a shock for him to actually see good football for once.
