If we actually had any offense, I'd call that a "victory"..

monk is slowly starting to open up the playbook....

I know we are down by 15, but this is the best we have looked from top to bottom in some time......

Mullens looks solid....have to abandon the quick out and somehow find a TE that can find the seam in one-on-one situations....I miss shawn nelson more than ever now....

they are taking the safe approach and just pounding at us....even with 8 in the box....

saban isn't going to chance anything risky with their qb when he knows in the end he wins by 20+

expect the same from them in the 2nd half.....and I guarantee he walked in at the half screaming, "2 and fkn 20 fvckin' four you pansy ass biatches, alnd that's your best"....saban was steamin' going in the locker room....

I'm hardly going to predict anything nutso, but we are forcing TOs.....

here we go for the 2nd half....just want to see us finish with the same intensity as the first......that would be a major moral victory....

i didn't think it was at first tech, but the reverse view pretty much locked it in.. he hit him helmet to chin. That's a no-no.

We still need an OL.. they're still getting through with ease with a four-man rush.

at some points, USM really doesn't look that bad or at least like the team who barely beat Alcorn

Between the 30's we're looking decent. Everything else not so much. (and more bad WR play has been disappointing).

Bama showing some class at the end of the game, instead of taking a knee why not score a TD in the last 20 seconds of the game when you're up 45 - 12. 03-thumbsup

our receivers are sitting ducks and are scared......sometimes deservedly so....

we aren't fast enough to compete at that level....

edit: you had to be pleased with monkens loosening of the leash regarding mullens and the play calling.....for the first time in two years, we looked like a team tonight.....

How many drops has he had this season? And he's supposed to be part of the leaders on this team.

his inconsistency is a valid concern...bull in ring for him tomorrow.....

Agreed STink, it actually looked like Mullens was let off the leash a little bit, he was finally able to take some shots down the field and stuff.

And he stood in there in the face of some serious pressure (I think there was only one MAJOR hit he took though, he was getting rid of the ball well the rest of the time.)

The words Bama and class do not belong in the same sentence. I just pray the USM folks that went got away without any incident.

He's not as fleet afoot as AD (speaking of AD, he got the start today by default and got the Rams their first win today....my StL brethren are starting to notice what we already know), but his play is very similar in style.....his football mind regarding defensive read ability is really starting to show.

I've been waiting for Monk to open another chapter in the playbook. Kudos to Monk for challenging him....should only help him grow as a talent.

I've liked this kid since my spygate thread....it wasn't difficult to see how his confidence was on another level relative to our other qbs last year....

They didn't look bad from what I saw last night.. I wonder if this is what we'll see at conference play.
