RE: UC-Toledo Game Thread....
I wasn't able to see the game, but I doubt Cincinnati should have much to worry about with the Toledo comeback. After jumping up 34-0 in the 2nd quarter and 41-14 at halftime, it seems like a classic case of hitting the brakes too early. Cincinnati ruled the fourth quarter after Toledo pulled within one possession and walked away with a 24 point win.

Gunner had one heck of a stat line. There are some rustled jimmies in Baton Rouge right now.

Wow, that's awful. I eventually saw the empty upper decks. The bright side is that they only showed the lower decks. So, it didn't look too bad on TV.

No tickets were sold for the upper decks for this game.

Agree, it broke my heart when Cook ruined his shoulder when he played for the Bengals. What a great player to watch. It is sad the injury ended his NFL career.

I truly believe if not for his injury, the Steelers would have a couple less SB rings. Bill Walsh once called him the greatest QB talent he ever coached.

This is a good point. Toledo has had 2 games to work out the kinks while UC has sat around only able to practice.

And Toledo was without starters because of the 2 games- 2CB, 1DT, QB, and lost RB Hunt for the second half, who ran for over 100 yds in the 1rst half. Losing Hunt was a big thing that hurt the Rockets comeback.

Just didn't feel right watching Cincy play in Paul Brown Stadium. Can't wait to see 'em back in Nippert. I mean, they tried as best as they could to make it their own there some...but just wasn't the same.

I was impressed with the Toledo's comeback and their second half coaching. A few dropped passes gave UC the opportunity early to get an big lead. The big drop on the sure touchdown might have changed the game. Toledo is contender in the MAC and the Bearcats are probably the favorite to win the AAC.

The thing that impressed me about Cincinnati last night was that it was obvious going into the 2nd half that they had kind of let off the gas a bit, and who could blame 'em with how they looked in the first? Nevertheless, they were able to get back on it and go. That's a difficult thing to do for a lot of teams, it really is. Hell, it cost us a game against UCF last year because once we were out of rhythm, there was no getting it back. I gotta give credit where it's due, that was more impressive than I feel Cincy will get credit for.

RE: UC-Toledo Game Thread....
Not really let off the gas in the third quarter, just used up a the tank in the first half. I think it was a case of not in game shap yet since first game. The defense is better than that second half. Starters were out with cramps per Coach TT. That said, I am still worried about the defense.
