LaTech up 14-0 at North Texas in 2Q.

Been saying for awhile that I think LaTech is a primary contender in CUSA West.

You have to think that they quit on June. No way they can be 5 touchdowns worse then the UNT team on my screen right now.

La Tech & UAB are way better than most expected. I think ODU can be in that group as well.

CUSA will be the best G5 conference (and pressuring the bottom P5) if this plays out the entire season.

And - on the flip side - Marshall has looked somewhat mortal.

Yes, even UTEP appears to be improved. And of course, UTSA is surprisingly strong.
This entire season will be challenging.

ODU has an experienced and dangerous QB (Walter Payton Award winner as a sophomore - essentially the Heisman Trophy for FCS), but I think you will find them admitting that their recruiting and depth isn't up to even C-USA levels yet. In lots of ways, they're still an FCS team. But don't overlook them, because they are dangerous.

If they continue to do well, they could potentially recruit better and be a threat.

Tech is looking somewhat impressive. They can be had, though.
