While our defense gave up a lot of points, I think still think we have the makings of something great on that side of the ball considering how young those guys are. When the offense (QB) can't do anything, every series is 3 and out, and we allow the other team to have great field position all night, it's hard to blame them. If we don't switch QBs...it's going to be a long year.
UNT defense is good! They stop the run, pressure the QB, and lay the wood. UNT can be really good if that 2nd team QB can gain some experience and start moving the offense.
Uh, no. The second team QB is just as bad. We need to develop the QB that came in late in the game. Cleanup time for sure but good game experience for him.

You guys outplayed and outcoached us last night and I think nearly every NT fan has said so (except for 1 comment).
My game prediction was that it would be close. However, I did say that if we fell behind then we would be in trouble because of our passing game. That is indeed what happened.
We have a chance to be much better as the year goes on, IF our coach makes the QB change and if Dajon is as good as he has looked in his limited roles. Dajon is also a RS Freshman.
Good luck the rest of the year Tech. You guys really earned it last night.
Not to rub salt into the wound, but you do know that Dajon was playing against LA Tech's water boys and equipment managers that late in the game, right?
That said, UNT could definitely benefit from a better QB. But I still believe UNT will win a lot of football games this year. Not all of UNT's 2014 opponents are capable of surgically picking apart the UNT defense the way Sokol and LA Tech did last night.
They were playing against our 2nd team D that has a lot of pretty highly recruited FR on it

Cooper, Canty, Farris, Dunn and a bunch of veteran backups like Thomason, Brown, Porter, Long, Shrang are what was out there. I'd call it two semi-highly recruited freshmen. It's not like we had Jaylon Ferguson and Cedric Johnson out there.

This summer, I was anticipating LA Tech as a possible win for the Monarchs, but I am rethinking that opinon now. You guys looked like a talented, well-coached team on both sides of the ball. I think I am among many who were highly impressed. I see a real dog-fight emerging for the West title (pun intended)!
We are sunshine pumpers now. I guess it took him a year to figure out what he had on the team and how to use it. We are getting the most out of the transfers. Biggest difference this year is the OL, QB and defense that were all bad last year.
Watch out for No.1 Henderson, i have not seen a red shirt freshman with that much talent since Troy Edwards.
I can see tech winning 8 or 9 if we continue play like the last 2. Tech played the best back to back games since 2011. If it continues, Skip is going to win CUSA coach of the year and Diaz DC of they year.

Happy to have tech in our conference. Glad you guys are getting back to your old ways. Disappointed our qb couldn't give your d a bigger test. Your coaches attacked us perfectly. Really had a good plan and made adjustments.
Its a shame they moved this from Saturday. I made the game last year in Ruston and aside from hogdawg looking for cookies or stickers your fans are some of the nicest I've interacted with.
Good luck the rest of the way, I'll be cheering for you all.
