I beleive that it will be the normal halftime show followed by the HS students joining the mrds to play Get It On.

That's the way I understand it to be as well. The kids were provided the opportunity to practice the one piece at home. Then they'll have a couple hours on Sat. morning. This promotion/event/opportunity worked well by having a later kick-off. I think it was an outstanding deal for all.

The anticipation of this brings back memories of the Tech game's show with both bands together. It was an awesome sight and sound.

Maybe JB can run onto the field from his box seats to deal with the refs after we get our second fair catch/halo infraction.

He's thinking between 22,000-24,000. Not bad for a crappy opponent. If we had a good FCS opponent, we would have sold out. Quite a bit of buzz around campus from my various sources about going to the game on Sat.

That sounds very positive. Now it is on the coaching staff and players to put on a good performance to keep the momentum from the first home game going forward.

Someone mentioned how Withers is attempting to interact with the students. Here is another example from @jmusports:

Freshmen! Want to run out of the tunnel at the @JMUFootball game on Saturday?

Check your email to sign up for the freshman charge.

Yep! It was a great way to get a good chunk of students into the stadium early.

I haven't seen it elsewhere yet, but ish hyman (new WR transfer) tweeted that the game is sold out.

edit: i see nothing else indicating this and the ticket website looks like there's still roughly 1,000 tickets remaining for purchase across various sections. I wouldn't call this a sellout. A great sale overall, but not a sellout. Probably 23k attendance today, assuming weather cooperates.

There is some sort of acceptable guideline that all stadiums, arenas, racetracks utilize to call it a sellout. I believe its 90% capacity.

Could he be referring to the students tickets being gone? Just a thought, I don't know if the student tickets have all been reserved or not.
