Crap. 4 players in 2 games plus Norrils illness. When it rains it pours I guess.
I hope they all recover quickly and come back stronger.

At this rate I would be relieved to get to 7-5 this season. Next couple games seem to have become both more challenging & important.

All leg injuries? Moore, Jeppeson, Ely, Cole are all leg injuries. Not sure if there are others. Obviously not the case with Norrills.
Might be good for Moore to get a redshirt in (not this way) to give him more of a chance to work on building even more muscle in a DI program. Rare for a HS kid to start on the d-line in DI as a true freshman like he did last year.
May not be related to the turf, but we already know that Campbell moved practices off the turf to reduce ankle sprains.

That's why baseball, softball and soccer will never move back to main campus. Football won't give up their grass fields at Carter.

Really? Since O'Brien gave an unproven head coach a contract extension through 2017, who's going to buy out that contract?

I know we have a couple real good recruiters. But it means nothing if we don't have an OC that can get more out of these kids than what we have gotten the past couple yrs. The hand clap thing is just plain dumb and stupid. And if Campbell can't get past the friendship he has with Candle then he is not the right man for the job.

Toledo will be at least .500. You guys are always saying how much talent there is. The team is one of the more talented team in the conference. The young players may struggle but should compete.
Plus they play WMU, Kent, EMU, and UMass. The high school down the road from me in dallas could beat those teams. Iowa State isn't very good either. That's 6 wins right there.

Horrible news, I hope he heals soon. We may need to get a better nutritionist! Only partly kidding, there is some serious science to this stuff with all the minerals these guys lose on a daily basis. A so called regular healthy diet may not be enough for peak performance at this level against the type of strength and forces involved. These guys are bigger, stronger, and faster than the NFL guys of the old days.
Let's hope that we can at least stay healthy through this Cincy game and be somewhat whole for the start of the MAC season.

Do tell, I hope there is not more bad news coming?!!
Or, perhaps you are saying we will do better than most think? I'm not overly worried yet, we can survive with the talent we have...if the coaching has them ready to play and stresses the fundamentals.

RE: Moore Out For Season
can't blame campbell for injuries. can blame the coaches for not being quicker to change up the come across our line of scrimmage hand clap signal. i was disappointed mostly in bad breaks early - wilcher pass replay call, int return fumble (can't really blame haden for trying to score), ely taking a 20 yard sack when we were inside the ten- the promising jordan martin seemingly regressing in yr 2, and also the kicking team. if anyone noticed our snapper and holder both struggle in the new hampshire game. that is what led to detmer's blocked kick. the placekicking timing has been off all yr.
i'm also fairly optimistic about the cincy game. we got little to lose and a lot to gain. with ely out we will run a lot which is our strength. cinch hasn't had a game yet and will make some mistakes. hopefully, we take advantage this time. remember missouri was sloppy early but we didn't make them pay. once they got momentum they played a lot sharper.

you've never seen a coach fired after signing an extension?
