That is an 8 PM primetime matchup back in the 1930's!

I'm taking the Vols in a major upset at OU
Straight up pick or vs the line?

The first stadium with lights was the Reds' Crosley Field in 1935. Also, only 68% of Americans had electricity in their home in 1930 so much of the country was in bed by sundown. So Primetime was a bit earlier than 8 pm back then
I pick UTSA over OSU. UTSA looks like a darn good team.

It was a reference to today's primetime slot for games. When I am reading about the big games of yesteryear, I imagine College Gameday and Primetime slots for those games. #CFBnerd

Looks like I should have stayed with my first thought. Woohoo Bowling Green!! Maybe the Big Ten should go to an all-B10 schedule to guarantee a few wins. (Sorry Heinous, couldn't help myself)

No need to apologize to me, I watched the dumpster fire today and I am just as disgusted by it all as any other and perhaps more so than most of you.
It is getting more and more difficult for me to defend and to come up with scenario's that could work out for the Big Ten.
I can visibly see a decrease in overall ability in the Big Ten. If this season continues like this, it could be a very real problem for the conference.

This is a temporary blip IMO. All of the negative things that could have happened did so for most Big 10 teams in the same season and early in the season. Wisconsin, Ohio State and Michigan State are still very good football teams and their early season losses wouldn't knock them out of consideration in most years if one of them ran the table the rest of the way. The overall conference weakness may bite them this year, but I don't anticipate this happening to them again in most seasons. Nebraska will finish with a good record as well, but I see them losing to Wisconsin and Michigan State and I'm not convinced that they would be a first division team in another conference.
I can't really explain what has happened to the conference as a whole, but the teams do look less impressive and less talented than in previous years, even Ohio State. If a Big 10 school was playing one of my favorite schools, the only ones that would give me a lot of concern are Michigan State, Wisconsin and Ohio State.
