Tell me about UH.
Trying to mess with UH a little. Turns out they are pretty boring. What can you tell me about the school?

RE: Tell me about UH.
UH's hand sign is a cougar paw missing a toe. The first time they played UT, their cougar's handler accidentally closed the door of the cage on Shasta (their cougar), amputating his toe. UT fans made that hand sign to make fun of UH for that misadventure. When UH beat UT the next time they played, UH fans made the hand sign back at them, and now it's tradition.

RE: Tell me about UH.
UH started as community college under the local school district. The old stadium was built for high school football. Hence, the name Cougar High.

RE: Tell me about UH.
I had always thought the UH hand symbol was meant to be the UT longhorns plus the middle finger. That sounds more appropriate for A$M though.

Edit: I just read that second link and it appears I wasn't the only one who thought that.

RE: Tell me about UH.
I was in grad school there and saw Shasta out for a walk. She had one handler holding a lead on either side and was following another towing a little red wagon. Funny sight.

RE: Tell me about UH.
You know the Houston Coogs are in trouble with halfway through the second quarter, the ESPN announcers say how important this 3rd down stop deep in their own territory would be to "keep it a three-score game" ... and BYU scores another TD on that very next play.

23-zip, Mormon Cougars.

UH got bailed out by a terrible late hit call. They capitalized with TD-takeaway-TD.

23-15 at the half. (UH is 0-2 on PAT)
