The MAC has looked good so far this year among Group of Five schools. As just one of three remaining undefeated teams after three weeks, Northern Illinois in good position to keep hunting for its second elite bowl berth in three years. Defending champ Bowling Green looks to have recuperated from its opening-day loss with a victory over Indiana. Akron and Central Michigan have acquitted themselves well to this point. Here's where I think the league's contenders stand in the bigger race for the G5 automatic bid...
