CJ Robbins pays the price for NIU punch
The Big Ten Conference on Tuesday suspended Northwestern defensive lineman C.J. Robbins for one game following a fourth-quarter ejection in Saturday's loss to Northern Illinois that saw Robbins throw a punch.

Big Ten Conference Agreement 10.01 states in part that "The Big Ten Conference expects all contests involving a member institution to be conducted without compromise to any fundamental element of sportsmanship. Such fundamental elements include integrity of the competition, civility toward all, and respect, particularly toward opponents and officials."

I think it's an automatic suspension, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

I had to rewind that play a few times, before I saw the infraction. Robbins got pancaked and that hurt his psyche. If it was a wrestling match, the Huskie lineman would have been awarded 2 points for a takedown.

That game got chippy at the end. Conlon was lucky he didn't get tossed earlier in the 4th after he took a swing at a guy who was holding his jersey after the whistle. It looked like a hard shove, but it was a nice straight right hand to the jaw.
