RE: Top 50 CBB players for 14-15
I don't care about the opinions of these kinds of ratings. These people usually put big markets and programs with long history of having a great program. Memphis, as great as it's history is, is still small apparently for these guys.
I, personally, put some of our guys in the Top 50, they just need to put numbers up this year and prove these guys wrong.
We Are Memphis!!!!
Go Tigers!!!

He's not even the best player on the team, you think he should make a top 50 list?
I think there may be many who disagree with you on the statement. I'll say this - in regards to the current roster, he is the best NBA prospect.
What does that have to do with being the best college player, this year, on this team?
Let's just sit back and see who the Tigers run their offense through this year.

If Austin is the high scorer that means the guards were very unselfish and set him up for a bunch of baskets.

If he's our high scorer then I'll eat crow and admit that he was the best player on this year's team. I don't think he will be though. Probably not in the top 3.

No, but you don't have to be the leading scorer to be the best player on the team. I.E. - Marc Gasol. I think AN will contribute via scoring, rebounding, and passing. I think the ball will work through AN to set up the guards, slashers, Shaq and even himself (post the ball, pass the ball out, then re-post). He has all the intangibles to make the team go, and you make the team go through your best player.

Scoring is what Austin has shown he does well...Everywhere else is where he was lacking last year (defense, rebounding and passing).
