Still the preseason.

So did we do better or worse than most of the "realistic" predictions? Seems to me most of those were in the 40's and 50's for A$M.

who came closest?

I predicted a 44-point difference, so the Owls, in losing by 28 points, performed 16 points better (or A&M performed 16 points worse) than I had predicted.

I actually think the Owls performed more than 16 points better, but that the score does not accurately reflect the two teams' performances against each other.

All in all, I think Rice did well and showed some real ability as well as promise this past Saturday.

I was only off by one on my 7:6 ratio prediction (28:23 rice v 28:24).

That, plus apparently I predicted the wrong stat (first downs v points)

Glad to see us put up a solid effort.

I haven't gone back through the thread but it seems most of us underestimated the defense.
