CBS: Top Dogs: How NIU Has Found Sustained Success

The tone-setter was coach Joe Novak, who helped foster a culture in DeKalb. The Huskies had seen success at the turn of the century, producing NFL names like Michael Turner, P.J. Fleck and Sam Hurd. But it wasn’t until Novak’s 2007 class came in that the expectations were raised.

DD was an O Coordinator

The Orange Bowl was in Atlanta

A perfect picture of that brotherhood came in Atlanta on New Year’s Day of 2013, some 800 miles from DeKalb.

I think what he meant was Turner and Schiller watching the game together in Atlanta..

DD was the Defensive Coord at WI

The only actual factual (not typo) error he made was DD being an OC rather than DC. He didn't actually write that Lynch was a finalist in 2012 but it was implied with the way he worded it.
