Rodney Landers
I knew in 2008 that Rodney Landers had the #2 All-time season rushing total for an FCS QB (now #3) but I didn't know that he also has the #14 position as well (2007) and is the #7 All-time rushing QB in FCS history. If Vad Lee has some big rushing games the later half of the season, he could crack the top 20 (single season yards) as well (20th is 1149 yards). Former JMU QB Eriq Williams is also on the top 20 career list.

RE: Rodney Landers
Such a shame that Rodney and Justin overlapped during their time here. Even when Rodney came on in mop up duty he still flashed and showed the potential was there. While I don't expect he'd have put up the same numbers as a freshman and sophomore, he'd still have been pretty darn good I'd suspect and have blown away those career yardage numbers.

RE: Rodney Landers
7th place is pretty impressive for only 2 years as a starter.

The best thing about Rodney was, it was never about Rodney. No moaning about waiting for his day.

I think it actually helped Rodney to watch such a smart player play for a couple years and hone his skills (and put on some more size) so he could step in for his junior year and start off well. He showed flashes, but I don't think Landers would have been Landers if he had started as a redshirt freshman. Plus he may have still gotten hurt two years in, which at that point would have been his sophomore year.

Either way, I'm glad we had him for two solid years. He was a man amongst boys and along with Scotty made for some extremely entertaining football.
