RE: CAA Week 3 Prediction Thread
URI @ Fordham
Maine @ Bryant
Maine is coming off of a bye.
TU @ DSU
UD beat DSU by 18. Think TU will win by about that also.
Lehigh @ UNH
We saw JMU put up over 600 yds of offense, while managing only 31 points, on a Lehigh defense that only returned 3 starters from a defense that gave up over 31 ppg last season. And UNH most likely has a better offense than JMU. The only sleight benefit for Lehigh is their biggest defensive weakness appears to be against the run with their very small front 7, and UNH’s offensive strength should continue to be their passing game.
Lehigh put up over 500 yds of offense on what has been so far a JMU defense that has been very UNH like (at least 12’ and before- UNH actually had a decent defense last yr).
Double benefit for UNH is game is @ UNH and they are coming off of a bye week.
Benefit for Lehigh is that they now have a game under their belt.
This one could be somewhat of a track meet..
StFU @ JMU
NC A&T @ Elon
NC A&T almost knocked off CCSU (missed PAT was the difference) but Elon is @ home, coming off a bye.
Colgate @ UD
Colgate so far lost @ Ball State 30-10 in a game that was more lopsided than the score indicates, and are @ UD. On the other hand, Colgate is coming off a bye week.
American Internatioal @ SBU
Hampton @ UR
Norfolk State @ W&M
W&M has an improved offense going against an NSU team who seems to have a decent defense, holding Maine to 10 and Liberty to 17.
W&M still sounds like they have a great defense, going up against an NSU team that only out up 6 on Maine and was shutout by Liberty. They might not score on W&M.
Week 1: 9-2. Missed on Bryant over SBU and CCSU over TU.
Week 2: 8-1. Missed on Albany over CCSU.

RE: CAA Week 3 Prediction Thread
Interesting slate this week.
1:00 PM URI (0-1) @ Fordham (1-1)
1:00 PM Maine (1-0) @ Bryant (2-0)
2:00 PM TU (0-2) @ DSU (0-2)
3:30 Lehigh (0-1) @ UNH (0-1) - Good game.
4:00 PM SFU @ JMU (1-1)
6:00 PM NC A&T (1-1) @ Elon (0-1)- maybe that's what you meant, but it was a really strong Coastal Carolina that A&T lost last week too, not Central Connecticut State. A&T also blew that game at the end. If they stay healthy, they may be one of the strongest MEAC playoff teams in a long time and could be a real problem for whoever draws them. They're gonna rip Elon a new one and it's going to be a virtual home game for A&T.
6:00 PM Colgate (0-1) @ UD (1-1)
6:00 PM American International @ SBU (0-2) - #CAA4Lyfe
6:00 PM Hampton (0-2) @ UR (1-1) - but go Pirates!
7:00 PM Norfolk St (0-2) @ W&M (1-1)

Yep, unfortunately. The bye comes at a good time for them, since their qb fractured his non-throwing hand last Saturday.

RE: CAA Week 3 Prediction Thread
More of you guys need to hop on the "Maine is overrated train" (And, also, see Towson)
Aside from Villanova and UNH, I don't think anyone in the CAA is scaring anyone right now.

I'm definitely there now. I gave them the benefit of the doubt the 10 points against Norfolk state was a fluke. Nope. It wasn't.
We have more of an offense then Maine.
I'm still not completely sold that Towson is back to where they belong, at the bottom of the conference.
Outside of elon and maybe Albany and stony brook, no CAA wins are guaranteed for us. We shall see.

Yup, 1st and 2nd look a long way from where we are but the bar for third/fourth looks awfully low all of a sudden.

Looking soley at the last 3 weeks I'd put W&M and UR on par with UNH right now.
1. Nova
2-4 (no particular order): UNH, UR, W&M
5-7 (no particular order): JMU, UD, Albany
8-11 (no particular order): TU, Maine, SBUElon
12. URI
Week 1: 9-2. Missed on Bryant over SBU and CCSU over TU.
Week 2: 8-1. Missed on Albany over CCSU.
Week 3: 8-2. Missed on Bryant over Maine & NC A&T over Elon.
