A source did confirm eight #Mendon football players have been suspended for a game but didn't say why.

To get suspended there they might have killed someone or the news got out and they were forced to do something.

People get killed all the time, but Mendon football never loses. Can't see them risking a loss over an everyday occurrence like murder.

On another subject I would have like to see Colon, Pigeon, Schoolcraft, Lawton, Marcellus, Constantine, Athens, Mendon, Centerville, and Union City form a conference. These mega conferences have few historical ties, and are just getting out of hand.

These schools have both historical and regional ties. For playoff sake the smaller schools like Mendon, Colon, Marcellus, Athens, and Lawton would play in one division and the others in another division. Teams could play 2 crossovers with the other division.

They all hate each other too much. Most have known each other their whole lives. Very strange dynamic. When we were all in the same conference at the preseason coaches meeting the head coaches were suppose to talk about issues but Baker, Ludlow and Swartz would never come to the table. It was crazy. They would send assistant coaches over instead. Football will not be the same game in a few years with all the new rules and practice rules. Middle school football can only have contact twice a week? In all my years I have never seen a middle school kid that hit hard enough to cause a concussion. It will be flag football or they will be playing in a protective bubble wrap suit at the high school level and below. At least in the north anyway. South will take a little longer.
