Matt Davis is 10x better QB than Burcham, he just hasn't learned the scheme yet. But with a new HC, and a bye week, I could see us completely scrapping the RnS offense for a spread or Pistol attack.

Mason (our interim HC) came from Nevada under Ault, so he is familiar with the Pistol. I'd also look at the types of offense Davis ran at TAMU and at JuCo.

Downsize the playbook and focus on getting the best players on the field in the best scheme for their talents. Davis is a dual threat QB - don't shackle him to the Run N Shoot.

Sounds like a solid plan. I just saw Burcham was only getting 3.3 yards per attempt this year. Changing out the scheme for one which suits your personnel can't really do any worse than that.

we also have negative rushing yards on the season.

maybe we should actually try to practice run-blocking. Might help.
