RE: 2014-15 schedule released
Its just hit me. Contract year, top half finish, bunch of wins logged. Bartow gets another extension with the focus being on developing football and the excuse being its the first year back in the socon.

The North Carolina Central game could be an interesting matchup. They are coming off a NCAA tournament season where they won 28 games. Not sure how many guys they lost but that could be a good game. Does anyone know if we will play at North Carolina Central next season? I'm not even 15 minutes from their campus so it would be nice to have a close away game to attend.

Interesting - I didn't realize that. Jeremy Ingram, their stud guard who earned MEAC POY and averaged 21 ppg last season graduated. Still, they appear to have several returning players from a 28-win team so they might be a tough team.

They won at NC State last year too. A lot of people around here was pissed about that. Although I thought it was hilarious, seriously though, they were a pretty good team last year.

I may try to drive up for the game at Chattanooga. That's only a couple of hours from my house and it'd be nice to see the Bucs play and I sure as heck don't want to drive to Macon (no offense Mercer friends).

Tusuclum in January is laughable, but if nobody is going to show up when the students are on break, there's no sense bringing in another VCU-type opponent in that situation.

With some extra size in the post and Rembert, Riley, and Wilson bombing away from outside, this team should be good, but the quality of their competition is, in general, not. Anything less than 20 wins this season is a disappointing year, and we should know after those first eight games how good the team will be.

All of the above, yes, except we never know what to except of Bartow and the Bucs until two weeks closing on the conference tourney. Here's to hoping for an empowered start of the season and some friggin' consistency over the course!

Why are our last three games of the season ALWAYS away games?
