Tailgating at Ladd Peebles?
I know it's not until next weekend but I need to make some plans. I've got some friends from Louisiana joining us for the game. Could some of you Jags provide some info about the tailgating options at your place?

Keep an eye on your things if you tailgate around Ladd. Neighborhood around it is safe, but its not the nicest in the World, and the stadium is so isolated from the rest of Mobile, really no bigger risk than any other stadium.
Stadium is about a 10 minute drive from downtown. Downtown has a good bit to do if you are the typical college football crowd.
Enjoy your trip to Jonesboro South.

Here's a good site for Ladd Stadium info and USA games...

Unfortunately, there's not much of an option for visiting fans to set up for tailgating. Parking passes are reserved for students and season ticket holders. I wish they would allow for single game passes for conference games and the visiting fans. At a premium price of course..
You may be able to park across from stadium but it's not really ideal for tailigating. Most Jag fans are pretty friendly and would welcome you into their tailgate. The beer is usually flowing pretty good for an evening game!

Just a bit East of the Stadium on Virginia St. there is a lot where I see a lot of folks setting up tailgates. Nothing big though.
It might be the best you can get without a pass for the stadium parking, which is reserved for Season Ticket holders.
If you park at that smaller lot, don't leave anything out when you go into the game. I ain't saying it will walk off, but I ain't saying it won't.
If I were you, I would just park and walk into the tailgating area and find some friendly Jag fans to hang out with.
Folks are friendly and you should be fine as long as you don't start yelling GATA!!! at little kids and telling everyone about your 75 thousand FCS championships.
My group sets up at the SE corner of the stadium across from the RV parking. We love it when visiting team fans come by.

Thanks for the info guys. I don't really know what we will do. Also appreciate the ~invitations. My tailgate group, The Red Flag Gang is well know for welcoming visiting fans to hang out with us. Yes, even apps. But that has changed some since the large parking lot at the stadium is now boosters only. Lots harder for them to stop by now but a few still make it. See y'all there. Beat MSU!

We went to the Senior Bowl last year, nice stadium, but definitely no parking, go early and find a pay lot. We got there early for the Sr. Bowl and actually got into the lot and tailgated with Alabama fans, hopefully USA will be as friendly, should be a heck of a game. We stayed in Biloxi (Beau Rivage) for the game about 45 minutes west but did get downtown in Mobile also. We will for this trip stay in Atmore (yes there is a trend here).

Sounds like a plan. We will be staying with some friends at Gulf Shores. Sounds like parking will be a challenge. We weren't trying to do a big cookout tailgate, just wanted to maybe put up a small canopy, have some snacks and sip a few. Would definitely like meeting some South fans if they are friendly. We are more let's say mature, not college age so we aren't looking for any confrontations. We leave it to our players to do that.

You won't have a problem finding friendly Jag fans.
