RE: Vad Lee passing stats
His passing stats are excellent. He plays with such poise and he is so under control. Bad snaps or being behind do not rattle him. He is a great leader and player.

The high snaps have gotten to the point of ridiculous. Seems like it should be an easy fix. Coaches were working with the center on his snaps on the sideline just prior to the beginning of the second half. He still made high snaps the entire second half. It needs to be fixed or it will cost us a ball game. Vad impresses me with his ability to handle the high snaps and still make his reads.

I've decided the guy on the team with the best hands is ... Vad. He makes it look much easier than it is. It's hard to understand the problem. He must be OK in practice or he wouldn't be starting at C every week, I would think.

Certainly seems to be trying to snap it back there with some velocity. Wonder if that's the problem? Something the coaches want, maybe that extra 1/2 second? I wonder if slowing the snap would help?

The one common factor, 50% of his passes went to Tapley, and 50% of those passes were dropped.

Re: Vad Lee passing stats
You know, that is a good point though your numbers are exaggerated.

He often seemed locked on Tapley even in 5 WR sets.
His vision of the field and decision making has been much improved in the 2nd half of the year.
Perhaps coincidence.

One thing is for sure...Tapley has not been a difference maker.

Even more impressive- Last 5 1/2 games (beginning with 2nd haf of the Towson game): 190 consecutive passes with Zero interceptions.

RE: Vad Lee passing stats
JMU should pass more ... no JMU should run more .... Debate over.

We're now throwing the WR/RB screen to function like our running game. We drew this up for years, but now it is executing. Talk about juicing up the QBs numbers, its like a hand-off that Vad gets passing credit for. Nice to see Abduhal back and running/catching passes.

Re: Vad Lee passing stats
Here is the latest update...
Lavaedeay Montique Lee is continuing his near miraculous improvement as a passer.
In 2 years at Georgia Tech he was a 45% passer.
Through 5 games at JMU he was a 51% passer (98-192) and it wasn't a coincidence that JMU was 2-3.

Over the last 7 games games he has been a 70% passer (166-238).

I don't know if I've ever seen a QB improve that much in-season with such a large sample size. It felt like Withers was trying to force a square peg into a round hole. Well, sure enough he jammed that peg in there and we find out that it was a perfect fit after all.

In terms of passing, Lee went from the bottom quartile of FCS QB'S to the top in a span of 12 games. This story may be even better than the Clayton Ritter evolution.

Think Withers can do the same thing with RG3?

Sorry, but RG3 has become a joke. Meaning no disrespect, but he's just not the man. I'm quickly believing Cam Newton is much the same.
