That would be a shame. This would only be a concern if a) he's unwilling to redshirt or b) expects to start as a true Frosh or RS Fr. Assuming no one transfers out or gets injured. He could get major carries by his redshirt Soph season. He and Cooper would be a great tandem. Does he want to be small fish in big pond or vice versa (ala MTSU)? Would be such a shame to lose DH.

He wants to play right away but Middle Tennesssee has a abundance of running backs. They even got Mathers from Ole Miss on their team. He must think it is easier to bear out competition at Middle than at Memphis. I think Southern Miss is even full at RB. He must be sizing up the team with the least strongest RB stable.

Exactly but for some reason our RBs are scaring him off from what some people are saying. I thought it was a good thing to want to go against competition that would challenge you.

I don't have the time to ish out MTSU RB depth by year, but DH has a bigger uphill battle there. They signed a few good backs. If anything thing they know the system. He'd play at Memphis faster and against bigger foes.

If Henderson is afraid of a little competition at RB, then buh-bye.

There are no absolutes when you talk about the world of recruiting 17 year-olds. Every trip opens new ideas and every new day is a brand new world. Picture this. The entire recruiting process is geared to getting kids on campus so you can give them your best pitch. They get that up to five times. Throw in the dark side of recruiting, pressure from "advisers" family, hometown alumni, street agents and the every so often girl friend (or campus escorts) and fickle becomes the norm not the exception.

What I consider form TC is he gets info from a variety of sources. Some new and some from boards and services. Nobody is right or wrong until the paperwork is signed and even then you have to keep (if they qualify) them for 4-5 years. Even the coaches can't guarantee the exact class. They just work hard and hope.

If Henderson wants to play right away, I'd suggest FCS. He is going to need some time. Probably a redshirt, regardless if it's memphis or MTSU or USM
