SMU has 2 million plus dollars to offer a new coach. They will get someone good.

Coker's track record at Miami and UTSA .... just sayin, he's no chump change...

Agree, i was just saying that with 2 million Cocker would go to SMU. Question, if SMU gets a proven, good coach, does this put pressur on Houston to do the same thing? What about Tulsa?

levine likely not fired unless 4 wins or less, and no matter how our fans like to exaggerate the isnt going to happen..

but if we did, we'd likely wouldnt spend crazy money, no matter what smu does, likely put up a mill and grab a decent spread OC
My buddy who made a HUGE donation to the new stadium let Khator know he is ready to pull the plug at anytime she sees fit.

Hart has a great AD pedigree and this us his first revenue hire. I expect a big name, and although I'd prefer Chad Morris - I trust hart to make right choice.

There's a bunch ready. Money is already being collected for buyout. LeBush has got to end of month (UCF) game to straighten stuff out. If things do not dramatically improve by then, it's bye bye.

I would hate to see Morris or Norvell at SMU. A couple of former Tulsa assistants who are innovative offensive minds and great recruiters. Both have very bright futures and would certainly be high on Tulsa's list if Blankenship is canned.

Get that check book out, Calallen.

I'm sure I could "Pony Up" (see what I did there?) about $10 to the cause beyond my current paltry donation. Or some pie. Pony94 likes pie.

Curious how long he keeps his job at Houston. At this point, every school in the AAC needs to make sure they have the very best Head Coach money can buy. Losing to Texas State and UTSA is should be unacceptable to the Houston Administration. There is to much at stake for each school in the American to serve as a proving ground for someone who can not win the games he needs to win.

Houston would be a very attractive place for a new head coach imo.

Just a hunch---but I think the administration was willing to ride out the 2013 revolving stadium year (while TDECU was under construction) with Levine regardless of how he performed in 2012. However, if the improvement in 2013 turns out to be fools gold--I don't think they will be as patient now that the new 40K seat stadium is open for business. My guess is that after the huge opening night belly flop probably cost the sell of several thousand season tickets---patience with Levine's growing process is probably nearing its end.

Agree with you, Attackcoog... Patience is off the table now, either win solid here on coach Levine or you're gone.

Larry Coker would be a good fit at SMU but it's not happening. He's not leaving UTSA for a pay raise and lateral move. Now if a P5 school came calling he probably would think about it a bit more.

Levine or blankenship will be gone after poor seasons

Tulsa might be just good enough to get to 7-5 which would be a blessing and a curse for us.

It would be a big pay raise, and the league is an upgrade.

He's on the verge of taking a program from nothing to possible conference championship/bowl win. Why give that up start over at SMU? Money? At this point in his life he has money. I'd say building a legacy is higher on the priority list.

Now if SMU were to pull it off they'd have the best 80+ yr coaching duo in the nation. LB holding down the basketball court and LC taking them to bowl games.

Coker has done a fine job at UTSA, no doubt. What is it, like 40 seniors on this squad... so this was always going to be a good year for UTSA.

But let's tap the brakes. No one from SMU wants Coker, period. So rest easy UTSA'ers (sory, I don't know what your mascot is).

And to say it would be a lateral move is just plain ridiculous. What do you pay your coach? What is your athletic budget? Do you have an on-campus stadium? Heisman winner? National Championships? I could go on and on, but I have no need.
