ACC Network Picks Up Baltimore
I guess the out cry was too much...ACC smartly put Maryland @ Cuse on the ACC Network. The CBS channel out of Baltimore just picked up the ACC package.

It wasn't the ACC that made the decision to put this on RSN. It was ESPN. However, the ACC and ESPN are constantly communicating with each other. My guess is that ESPN was happy to do this as a small favor for the ACC.

Considering how many times Syracuse was placed on the Big Ten Network as part of the BE, it is only fair play.

Surprised to see ACC affiliates:
Arkansas, Illinois, Louisiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Texas (9!)

Stunned to see ACC affiliates:
California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Nevada, Oregon, Wisconsin, Utah

Don't get too excited...some of the channels are sub-digital channels (which may or may not be on basic cable). However, as a fan you have a chance to see the ACC especially if you know about OTA antennas.

Good for the ACC. The ACC needs to get into Ohio for UofL if they haven't already.

Sad that the ACC fan base has to pretend it has a conference network like the SEC/B1G/Pac 12.

You completely missed the point.
Read it again and see if you can figure it out on your own.

My understanding is that just because the ACC "Network" has an agreement with these stations, they are not required to actually show the games.

No, I think this is the list of stations which are carrying THIS WEEK's game.

Correct. I'm not surprised Baltimore would have an affiliate, Maryland borders Virginia and Pennsylvania which between them have 3 ACC members. And there are plenty of ACC alumni in the DMV/Baltimore regions.

Correct Brista...kinda like B1G fans in NYC Area. I bet Baltimore will put some ACC games in the future on one of their sub-channels.

I think you are right...but lower demand games can always be farmed out to a sub-channel.

If that's true, then ok. I don't know. Don't read much of these ACC "Network" stories. (Honestly, they're rather worthless. Sorry to say. Not like any of that money is going towards the conference.)

Surprised people well outside the ACC footprint care about those games. They probably don't. It might just be easy, cheap programming? Again, I don't know.
