RE: MAC picks wk 3
I wonder if NIU will be making a return trip to Presbyterian....
Still can't believe you guys scheduled them. There had to of been someone better than them available, right? Come on, look at that stadium.

At least there appears to be lots of room to tailgate....

The three OSU drives not ending in scores are squelched on bad snaps fumbled out of the end zone for safeties.

I think a lot of contests will be close. I think MAC teams win four and hope they win more.

I hope your wrong about the other 10 losses, wow that would be pitiful.
I hope I'm wrong too, but I'm not brimming with confidence right now. There are several more games I wanted to pick for the MAC put couldn't pull the trigger.

You realize Presby plays at NC St and Ole Miss this year too, right? Maybe you should give their fans the business too. Playing big names at home is cool if you don't get your ass kicked and make the MAC look weak.

Friday, Sept. 12
@ Cincinnati 38, Toledo 28
#8 Baylor 59 @ Buffalo 27
Saturday, Sept. 13
@ Marshall 35, Ohio 24
@ CMU 28, Syracuse 26
UMass 27 @ Vandy 24
Indiana 38 @ BGSU 34
@ #22 Ohio St. 48, Kent State 14
@ Ball State 34, Indiana State 13
@ Michigan 45, Miami 10
WMU 44 @ Idaho 41
@ Old Dominion 47, EMU 28
NIU 31 @ UNLV 28
I could also see BGSU pulling out one at home against IU, but I'm hesitant due to last season's result and the loss of Johnson.
Toledo could well win, especially since Cinci hasn't had a chance to knock the rust of yet, but with their current injury / sickness situation and coming off the tough loss to Missouri, I can't make myself pick the Rockets.
My head says Idaho, my gut is saying WMU. Maybe I ate some stale pizza, but...we'll see.

NIU should handle UNLV. NIU is very solid and UNLV is so-so and doesn't have a momentum inducing home crowd.
BG and Toledo games will be interesting. Each team has high expectations but a flat game under their belt. They both have lost their starting QB for the year (crap Toledo has already lost 2 of their top 3 dbs, their starting DT, and their top Oline backup along w their qb - all for the yr). But sometimes cornered dogs fight hard. They are playing name teams on national tv and if they get a break or two early could really breakout emotionally and play well.
Western isn't good, but they are a bit better. Idaho has a good home field edge but a mediocre squad.
I doubt UMass beats Vandy. I know they are down but they were a top 25 team last yr and and improved umass is still a team that hasn't beat anyone decent in years, especially on the road.
Syracuse is pretty good. CMU will be pumped and playing at home, but they need to get stops and be efficient playing a more talented opponent.
Go MAC
